Chrome for Cars. Love, Hate or Neutral?

So yeah. I've been a chrome hater for very long.

 

I hate how it looks in the cars, they look like toys, and they barely fit any car (Maybe some "import" looking like Sports like the Sultan)

 

Another of my reasons to hate this is because all the kids paint their super cars in chrome, specially the Adder, and they look even uglier.

I'm not a fan. I Bieber'd (chromed) my fully tuned Turismo R as a joke because the car is so insanely awesome it could be sh*t brown and still kick ass. I also put Classic Horn 2 on it.

It looks cool on the Cavalcade.. But that's it. And I once made a chrome Cheetah with red rims which looked interesting, but it is definitely overused.

It fits SOME vehicles, but I really dislike it if somebody chromes Sport/Super cars, it just says: 'Look at me, I'm rich and cool, and you aren't!'

The only time I used chrome in the whole game was as a secondary colour in a Faggio, just because it makes it look like a trim. In my opinion totally ruins the look of every other vehicle.

Pretty much true that, hahah. Though the yellow and black plates are classic plates used for older cars, just like in real life California. Of course they should not be used in Adders.

Chrome can look good as a secondary color on some cars. As a primary color, not so much.

I think it ruins the look of all the cars. Some look better in matte paint but i think the shiny reflectiveness (?) just makes them look cheap

From the moment I saw my sister's friend's garage full of chrome cars with red rims and tire smoke, I hated that goddamn paint job.

The only exception I find for chrome is if it's used as a secondary color on certain cars. Example: Adder's stripes.

Chrome is more of a kid/teen thing. One of those "My peers like it so I do too" things. When they get older they'll realize how dumb it looks. I can understand it on rims or taillights to some extent, but not the whole damn car. Same with so many kids thinking the Adder and Entity look cool. They think fast cars are automatically cool cars.

And that last line leads to another finer point. The majority of Online is <18 year olds who have no experience behind the wheel of an actual car and have sh*t taste.

(old man voice) Back in ye olden days of GTA VCS and LCS we had to use cheats for that ugly paintjob...it looked nice at first but two minutes after using that cheat i knew that chrome MUST be avoided AT ALL COSTS! (it sure looks good on some cars tho...)

Gold chrome looks dope I got it on my jester and everybody be like 'that's a nice paint job' but regular chrome played out a long time ago

To me, Chrome only looks good in very small parts of a vehicle (Frame of a Akuma, for example) but as soon as it starts to be used in larger quantitys it looks, just, horrible. And when you get to full chrome Adders...

I only like Chrome as a Secondary Color. For instance, my Z-Type has the Secondary Color as Chrome. But the Primary Color is one of the Reds, and it has a Pearlescent with one of the Oranges to kinda make it look like fire-colored.

 

But for a FULL Chrome Car....Nah, this is quite ugly...

Chrome paint job doesn't look good on any car. Chrome is supposed to be for trim, not the whole vehicle. I don't even like a car with a lot of chrome trim.

 

Chrome isn't the only thing that looks stupid. It seems like most people paint their GTA V cars in the most gaudy color schemes they can think of.

I have a chromed Sadler with red wheels and it it doesn't look bad.The chrome paint job looks bad on some sports cars and sedans.I'd never put a chrome paint job on Michael's Tailgater or Premier.

7/10 player's avatars wear sunglasses. I like to count how many of 'em are wearing some while in race/dm lobby. Usually, I'm the only one without them.

 

Yeah, it barely has anything to do with this but I simply wanted to get it off my chest.

Not my thing but to each their own. Why are people so bothered by other people's taste? That is why they give you various paint options. It's so you can find a color that suits you.
