White stars of the profile related question

What does the white stars - that used to be golden - represent ? And why did mine decrease from 5 to 3 stars ?

It's your profile rating. Any person can rate your profile from 1 to 5 starts. Your stars decreased, because someone voted 3 stars or less.

The stars are kind of like a feedback system, it allows members to "rate" other members. 1 star being the least, 5 stars being the highest. You went from 5 to 3 because you got rated lower (>3 stars) a number of times.
