Locked out of car (Kind of)

I and others have been having issues in particular missions (most often reported Rooftop Rumble) where your character will not get in your car when you press Triangle / Y. Now im not talking about you do not have access to this vehicle glitch but rather the one that will take you to the closest other car available (even if its across the road).

 

I think I know what is causing it. It seems to be whenever you have a package / documents that you need to deliver (which lets face it is 90% of the missions).

 

I have noticed this on rooftop rumble / stocks and scares etc.

 

For now the only method that I have been able to come up with as a sure fire way of stopping this happening is by leaving my car door open. As soon as I exit I start to run in the opposite direction so the character does not have time to close the door. Every time I have left the car door open the character has just jumped straight into the vehicle.

 

I know I have nearly been killed by this glitch and it wouldn't surprise me if others have been. Just thought I'd let whoever is interested know this as it may save your life one day

My remody for this is to get in your car and move it first before you go to the mission start trigger, then you can get in every time without going for the random astrope or other crappy car that drives past.

Mine does that occasionally during RR and I'm moving it before the shooting commences, we usually get there in the end.
