Jerry Can glitch fixed?

I heard you could douse PV's in gas and use your car's exhaust to light it on fire and avoid a bad sport point/insurance.

 

I did it a few times yesterday and each time I got a bad sport warning, was it fixed in an update? I occasionally see threads about people doing it.

It does work, did you accidentally hit the car you ignited? If you touch it, you pay for it

I do it all the time to my friends car haha, he usually ignites it himself with the turbo.

So it won't work if some bumper to bumper contact occurs? I see. Every time I tried it to a chrome adder or something, I'd prop my bumper up against theirs to make sure my exhaust sets it on fire. (The buffalo's little exhaust flames are tiny.)

You need to leave like 2 feet space between the cars, the car will still ignite

I miss the cargobob, something I always thought would be hysterical would be to lift a chrome adder out of the impound lot and hide it on a building, or fling it into the sea, etc. Never got a chance to try it. XD Shame once you reach level 42 or so, it gets replaced with a attack buzzard, which just isn't the same.

It still spawns randomly. My level 202 character and 92 still find it occasionally.

No you don't, I dropped 1 adder and 2 turismos yesterday in the ocean and I didn't pay for either one

Well this sounds crazy, but MAYBE every time I've dropped it, the guy has requested it back, meaning the car which I had, was a duplicate and therefore didn't matter if I destroyed it

Or you might have done it wrong somehow, did your chopper ever touch the car? (not meaning the grapple hook) Just like the jerry can glitch, you can't touch the car

They can't use the mechanic if it's collected directly from the impound, the game assumes it's still in the impound so they either have to find it or pay insurance

Considering how much I suck at hooking cars with the cargobob, I almost certainly hit them.

My friend and I were in this public lobby, and he was sailing in a Marquis. Someone got their Chrome Alpha impounded, so I cargobob'd it to my friend in the boat, precariously balanced it on the bow, and he sailed off, car and all. Was funny as hell when the guy failed to shoot the boat, and even funnier when the car fell off the boat and he shot his own car.
