Worth coming back?

Hi all, long time no see, life etc..

 

I've been browsing and thinking about playing again, my questions to you are:

 

Has the game evolved at all since december? For the better or worse? From a MMO type perpective.

 

I always stuck up for the game in the early days, thinking it had a lot more to come, but I got pretty bored of the same carnage, lack of communication from R*, and kids screaming obscenities. It it better now? Or different? Any major changes that have been game changing!?

 

I really appreciate any feedback before I update and login.

It's made some changes for the better. Rockstar actually has been listening to major player complaints and slowly fixing them over time regardless of how minor or major they are, there's more free DLCs/small content additions, and you can now start jobs from the pause menu so making GTA$ is easier than ever.

the game from the beginning have been as good as you want it to be or as bad as you want it to be...

 

is up to you to determine if is worth it...

It's definitely better compared to a few months ago. Still no heists btw.

Early on I ran into cool people that were playing...All of December I played solo sessions because it was a wasteland of morons... There have been plenty of likeminded people for me to play with lately, and it's not uncommon to complete a mission with a random group and then string together a few races, parachute jumps or other random missions.

That's good, I found cool people early on, but December was just terrible. Looking forward to it again, nice one.

If you have to ask another person whether you want to play a game for which you may enjoy for completely different reasons than others, than perhaps the time to return has yet to come. Personally, I always find some kind of fun to enjoy, hence why we might like the game for different reasons.

It actually has slowed down a lot since December when everyone was rich. A lot less chaotic. Not sure if this is good or bad. You almost have to go look for a fight unless you are low level.

I've got to set up my PS3 again, because I just moved hoose & am now on holiday. Am considering a return too, given that there's been more content & patching.

 

But only if there's mission activity. Free mode spawn killing & glitching bores me sh*tless.

I'm sure you'll have fun until it gets too repetitive again but nothing has fundamentally changed. However many of the exploits have been fixed and the game is more solid than ever.

Why would you bother asking a forum of trolls and young angsty teenagers who whine about every little thing? If you want to play the game again, just do so. If you're not sure if it'd be worth it, the only way you'd know is if you tried.

OP, the most significant change, in my opinion, is when you call your mechanic for your car, he is no longer there, just the car. It's sad really, but it had to to done.

Cheers for the replies, i asked here because there is a huge social dynamic and it's good to get opinions on what's changed from as many perspectives as I can to make an informed decision.

GTAO is a pretty simple game.

 

You go round around and do random sh*t.

You kill random people and justifiably act like a jerk.

You do missions and races with randoms or with buddies.

 

Broken or not, the game has never really effected me. Not sure why people put so much serious thought into why they should or shouldn't play the game.
