who here hates the random bounties placed on them?

today i barely got to my apartment in my lampadati felon (i love this car it's fast, i did find a convertible version though but i sold that).

i had a $7,000 bounty placed on me by a drive who's car i swiped, i got away from it for a while by doing missions, but when i returned i was chased by a player in a turismo r, i out drove him and barely made it to my garage, after i got away he left!

Yes , I agree, its funny, the game title is "Grand Theft Auto", but they put in random bountys for stealing cars to try and detour us from stealing cars

I wont say i hate the Random Bountys.......But i wont call them Random anymore, I just about keep a 3 to 7k bounty on my head.....it does seem odd that you steal a high end, or more expensive car and the bounty you get placed on you will be 1-3 k and the lower priced cars will land you a 5-7 k

I love them. I sometimes steal a crap ton of cars just to get a bounty. Running from people with a bounty is so fun. I love screwing with them.

And sitting on the train with a bounty is lots of fun too.

I hate them only when I theft a car that I want to keep, but have a trick, if you call someone just after the message and before the bounty warning it delays the bounty until you hang the phone.

i don't like it (even though i go after bounties sometimes), still getting one placed on you just gives the player killers another reason to kill you (and sometimes blowup your car).

Like CReaper said, the train is also fun to camp on. Often times, they think you're in a heli or car and get all confused. Some guy tried to shoot me with the annihilator and failed to hit me. I disappeared into the tunnel while doing the 'jerk' action.

I don't mind them because if a server has hardly any players it keeps people interested in bounties and lets face it they are a major gameplay element of freeroam. Ive found such a good spot to help survive bounties which is not cheating and going to your apartment, so I enjoy trying to survive.

 

I do however think npc bounties should only be placed on the more expensive GTAs you commit.

On one occasion riding the train through the southern industrial areas, a player approached me in an Annihilator and started to attempt to fire on me. But thanks to his unsteadiness he had to come in close, which allowed me a quick burst of fire to dispatch the hunter seated in the cockpit, shortly there after the chopper hit a bridge truss and exploded.

 

Lately I just barricade myself in a clothing store and get a few kills when they come before a better skilled player comes along and takes my head, or someone gets a lucky shot. I have beaten bounties already, the time you end up wasting to get a modest $9k or less just isn't worth it to me.

I actually have a theory that the bounty value rotates regardless of vehicle stolen. 1-1-3-5-7-9-5-5-3 is the pattern I think I have pegged. I, too, try to catch bounties often.

Yes, I do hate that. As if getting a wanted level 99% of the time wasn't bad enough, but then the NPC sets a bounty on your head.

Love'em few days ago I got a bounty on my head parked my self(in a tank) at the Helicopter landing zone in southern Los Santos and let the bounty hunters come to me.. and they did by the dozen. It was about twenty minutes before they gave up. Another two and my tank woud have succumbed to gunfire.

 

Another time I had these three guys chasing me out on the ocean but I was in a submarine so they couldn't reach me. But every five minutes I'd go off the radar surface and snipe them before disappearing again.

Oh yeah the train works very well. You have great cover and our mobile. Have caught a bounty on a train myself though.

Feels like a huge majority of the time I try to steal a car I get this sh!t. Bounties vary. Some days I like the chase and taunting others. Some days I just stand on the street til someone collects because I have things I want to do and don't require extra attention.

Yes. I've had four bounties applied in the last six cars I've stolen.

 

Usually I take a car because I want to get somewhere fast. Usually I don't end up getting where I wanted to go to because all blips on the map come after me. Frustrating.

 

If people like being constantly chased then you should be able to put a bounty - or some other "chase me" marker - on yourself.

 

The game mechanic should be that you can randomly get a bounty on your head for stealing a car, unless you kill the occupants of the car in which case you will never get a bounty.

Also you have the underground tunnels under the city centre.

 

Don't get me wrong, I like the idea of bounties. I've even grouped up with crew members and put bounties on ourselves to see how long we can last, which is fun. But random NPC bounties, with no way to prevent them, is just plain annoying.
