But seriously, it makes more sense that gta o recognizes international holidays, if they celebrated July 4th, then they'd have to celebrate some other holiday in : Spain, France, Canada, Croatia, and etc.

Im thinking OP is onto something with this independence day thing. Instead of fireworks though I want alien spaceships to hover above LS. American players can then access Fort Zancudo without tanks busting their balls and get Jets. Non US players could access the spaceship and its fighter craft. Then we could all have dog fights over Sandy shores.

So what if it's American Independence day? Region specific events don't stop other online games from celebrating them.

 

 

Not that this is a good or bad idea, but to add to the argument, Los Santos is in the U.S. and is based off of Los Angeles. (In the U.S.) 4th of July could happen.

Replace all tanks ammo with fireworks, or make a car that shoots fireworks while driven. Or maybe just a simple US flag in the apartment. But still I feel a worldwide celebration of the U.S might cause certain countries to ban gta for anti-nationalism. Most countries already ban half our movies. Basically political bull will probably cause it to not even be region locked, cus then R* worldwide reputation makes it look like it favors the U.S. Sorry to be a debby downer but the real world does have a small hand in video games.
