Grand Theft Auto V PC "said" to be released i/on March (18th)

The PC version of Grand Theft Auto V (And most likely Online) is been said to be released this month (March). Today is March 6th and there are 2 rumors, March 12th and March 18th.

 

I know there's a PC discussion on the "story mode"-side, but my main question will be slight different.

 

 

I more likely think it will be next month. This month, GTA has been out for 5 months. It was released in September, so next month would make it the 6th month.

Notice how they all say it's March?

Trailers leaked. Pre-orders available. Things like that.

 

 

However.

This could be the reason as well why Heists aren't released yet. They are waiting for the PC version. Because, I don't see them testing them day by day to check for any possible glitch. They didn't with GTAO itself, why would they with Heists?

The PC petition, most likely has no effect whatsoever, but it can have played a role in the month early release.

This is like heists online. It's coming this month, no oh nah next month. Trust me if it was coming out on pc, it would be getting hyped up and ain't seen no marketing for it. So you keep dreaming and one day you maybe right.

Very unlikely.

 

You have a 1% chance of PS3 -> PC

negative 9000% chance of Xbox -> PC

*google about cross platform + xbox live policy*

R* might not do it for PS3 just because they can't for xbox and the children would cry cry cry

 

PS3 -> PS4

Xbox -> 1

Jury might still be out, but I'd say chances are slim.

There are few other examples too. Final Fantasy the online versions is another example.

B-but then I'd have to keep using a crappy old console just to keep my level 100+ character. :(

 

 

Anyway I agree that this month is way too fast for a release of a PC, but then again, it can be next month.

 

IV PC was released in that period.

Why not V PC? Both 6 months.

I'm a PC elitest and I'll continue to play it on PS3 Online.

 

PC I'll be probably playing solo with mods. Online is going to be really really really bad, maybe I'm wrong.

 

GTA is probably the ONLY game in the world I'd say that about.... not counting games that have sh*tTY PC ports; those I probably wouldn't even play... ((SouthPark Stick of Truth... f*ck you for breaking my rules... don't know what to do yet))

Expecting it to be announced and released in the same month is being incredibly optimistic. I'm also waiting for the PC version as I only bought a second hand PS3 for this game but if they announced it now, it would likely come in June/July time.

 

With Rockstar, I'm not reading any BS rumours because they are 95% of the time completely wrong.

I shouldn't even clicked the button... First part.. look at the history of other GTAs...

 

The second part.. is just to stupid for me to even comment on.

March makes sense because it's the end of the economic quarter, and a PC version of GTAV would increase R* revenue for the first quarter exponentially.

I played GTA IV on PC and the only reason I bought a PS3 was for GTA V. I thought it would suck using a controller and it wouldn't be the same but I soon learned to enjoy it and with all the hacks/mods/ buttons needed doesn't seem like it would fit the PC comfortably. GTA IV was a complete mess whenever I'd enter a lobby, almost everyone I played with had a trainer (mod for spawning almost anything) and although it was fun it would completely destroy the concept of GTA:O.

 

 

Hated the evil mod...made everyones cars blow up and put you inside a Tetris block

Online on PC wouldn't be as bad as everyone thinks. All you need is a good anti-cheat like Battleye or (dare I say it?) Punkbuster. Yeah, people can get around both of those anti-cheats a little while after each time they update, but they update frequently for popular games and that would deter the hacking community to some degree.

 

The real problem is how Rockstar has the save-files set up. They just need to find out a way to store character data in such a manner that a client can't just pull up the file from a folder on his system at any time and edit it. Oh wait, it's called cloud saving. Although, I don't know how well Rockstar could manage cloud servers for the data of thousands of players on a game like this, based on what we've ALL seen happen last October.
