Hey, OP, I've actually got a suggestion for you.

Maybe you should try some of this:

turn in harder so you'll oversteer a bit before straightning out

With the Jester the under-steer is mostly noticeable at lower speed. Like the BF injection the solution is handbrake (also known as E-brake). Otherwise

To nail sharper turns with understeery cars i slow down with the reverse brake, not the ebrake. I slow down just enough to allow me to still go through the corner at max speed possible.

Feather the hand brake (e-brake) with a small amount of normal brake to keep things under control.

Off the accelerator in, feather through, nail it on the way out.

Hah, that sounds cheeky.

WTFThisIsntWii

Just did a few RtR missions with my Jester which takes you through Vinewood hills I thought it was easy to control but here's some tips:

- Don't be afraid to ease of the accelerator. If you know a tight bend or corner is coming up let go of the accelerator. As soon as your car is more then 50% through the turn and you are coming out of it ready to straighten up then slam the accelerator down and floor it. You really only need to slow down when coming into a bend not leaving it.

- If you find yourself coming into a corner or bend too fast and you've already taken your finger off the accelerator another trick is to quickly tap the reverse/brake trigger. Just tap it in and release you slow down a wee bit but not enough that you stop. It also allows you with a bit of practice to come straight into a corner before quick braking. This means you go around faster as you have a higher average speed maintained throughout the bend. Compared to sowing right down by holding the brake in.

- For 90 degree corners come in close towards the side your going to turn. If you want to turn right, position yourself so that you are towards the right side of the road more. Once you are maybe two - three car lengths away from the corner gently tap the handbrake (not the trigger / reverse brake) and release it straight away. Simultaneously turn the car towards the corner. It will slide around perfectly like a drift you can then take off down the road. This is great flwhen being chased as you keep your turn radius small and can disappear around the corner quicker rather then do a wide turn. If you feel like during the drift the car is starting to slide jiggle the left stick in the opposite direction and lay off the accelerator until it's controlled because if you panic and accelerate you'll spin out.

Letting go of the gas when turning is mostly enough to prevent oversteer in GTA

What does the "e" in e-brake stand for? I've always called it a hand brake, since you operate it with your hand.

Ebraking will cause you to lose a lot of speed and need to completely reaccel because when you lose traction in this game even if youre holding down RT you will not be pushing the pedal down so to say, so you lose a lot of speed and like i said need to reaccel all the way. Thats why drifting is difficult, because once you start sliding your character doesnt keep the pedal down.

emergency. i usually say hand brake too, because i dont think id ever lock my rear wheels in any emergency lol

I pull the handbrake, accelerate for maximum wheel spin then just steer in the direction you wanna go!

Haha yeah using your hand brake in an emergency would probably make it worse.
