I think Rock/Cockstar is right about cash cards.

 

Otherwise they wouldn't release new DLCs and the servers would be f*cked up.

 

But they should lower the price a bit.

 

$50 for $3.5 million in-game money is ridiculous.

 

$25 for it would be acceptable.

Perfect dark zero doesn't have cash cards. I bet you if I was to load up the game (released back when the Xbox released), the servers would be still working. Take your bullsh*t else where.

I've always been against cash cards but now I realized that they are a necessary thing in it.

 

People can spend their money on anything they want. Unless you're a 13 yr old, angry and broke kid.

No one expects you to, or has asked you to, buy the cash cards. They are optional. It's not required.

 

Now - imagine you are picking the game up for the first time, today. Your buddies have been playing for months, but you've only just got online. Perhaps you want to upgrade your clothes, or you want to buy a nice car. But you don't have any money.

 

What's that? R* have provided a completely optional, voluntary solution for those that just want to spend THEIR MONEY to help them catch up? Isn't that NICE of them?

 

Oh, no, wait, butt hurt gamer in aisle 6... butt hurt gamer who has not and will not spend money on the cash card. You think it's cynical of R* to allow the purchase of cash cards? How does that hypocrisy taste?

 

Cash cards: it's none of your f*cking business if people choose to buy them. You don't have to, so, seriously now...

I'm not for them, I'm not against them. I've simply accepted that micro transactions are a part of gaming right now. I won't care about it unless the games using them essentially force you to buy them in order to play at an enjoyable level. That's why I don't bother with mobile games anymore. Cash cards here, I don't see an issue. I can spend 10 bucks, or play the game for a few hours.

You've been here 10 years longer than me but I have half as many likes so... being a douchebag asshole is what people on the internet like (like girls IRL).

 

As much as Cash Cards are fun to poke fun at... I think it's a very fair F2P model... we can argue all day long if it was really free or not; lets just leave it at "We don't pay a subscription"... but then again it's P2P with a cloud...

 

F2P games used to be satan... I mean REALLY damn bad. Heck even Perfect World F2Ps now are pretty fair IMO. The worst are the phone apps and facebook types... spent way to much money on Clash of Clans and then sold the POS iPad.

 

If they didn't have so many glitches I could take advantage of over the months... I'd probably buy cash cards. I sunk a ton of money into Hearthstone just because I can't be bothered to earn my cards by hand... I wanna beat ass on the ladder NOW!
