tank sniping considered cheating/ PATCHED!

Can you believe tank sniping, the only balance to tank rampages; has been patched.

 

Millions of butthurt tweens evidently flooded Rockstars support page, complaining that people where "cheating" and "shooting them out of their tank" .

 

I've personally had people say I was cheating because I snipped them.

 

I don't see the issue. The tank is the most powerful weapon in the game. It literally takes five rpgs, or five blocks of c4 to destroy one. Going against a tank without a tank is a suicide mission, for the most part. All we had was the illustrious, mythical tank sniping. If you didn't know how to do it, it was hard to believe it was possible.NOW IT ISN'T POSSIBLE, BECAUSE THEY KEPT SAYING WE WERE CHEATING!

 

My crew is in a uproar, because we pride ourselves on our tank sniping skills. We have already emailed support to complain about this "IMBALANCE". I'm just spreading the word, so we can complain "rockstar/support", as did the adolescents. What are you guys thoughts on this patch?

The best solution, to me, is to be able to have the fighter jet or buzzard helicopter to Lock On to a tank with it's missiles.

 

obviously the lock on feature would only apply to tanks and not personal vehicles.

 

Or maybe R* can release a DLC pack with a Tank Buster (A-10 they are called, I believe?) in it, and allow players to buy it and be able to destroy a tank with that.

Tanks are R* official cash balancing troll machines.

 

 

They cost large to own and have infinite ammo and cheap respawn costs.. They also cost large AMMO/RPGS to take down.

 

R* wins... Casuals will buy cash cards for tanks or go broke using ammo/rpgs.

 

 

Theres no other reason as to why Tanks should be so easily accessible, take so much damage, have unlimited ammo and be immune to insurance. Unless of course my above statement is true.

 

 

Bottom line, R* doesn't want you dealing with monkeys in tanks with a few sniper bullets. Simply because it would hurt their cash card sales.

I think $5000 is fair.

 

But. I think one RPG should make the tank stationary... Then next one should blow it up.

 

They are tanks not the HULK. No tank can sit there eating RPGS and still be fully functional. It also should not move and shoot so fast.

 

 

 

 

But... like i said. Tanks are R*s trolling cash balancing machines. If they nerf tanks they sell less of em... And the less tanks around the less ammo/rpgs will be purchased to combat them.

As much as it's a stereotypical response, everything Rockstar seems to add into the game now is a money sink - with no additional ways to make money (ie Heists) so it's getting to be a more and more safe assumption that leaving tanks in to rape people for insurance costs and have them very hard to counter is to help boost cash card sales. Why else have an OP vehicle with very few counters available so easily and so cheaply and keep removing the few counter measures (sniping, Buzzard missle lock) with no good reason?

I can't believe they actually remove that ... Tanks are so f*cking annoying / overpowerd, you need xxx C4 / rockets to take one down and it has infinit ammo / can shoot like every 2 seconds ... to me it's the only fail from R* in this game ( specially online )

Oh there is... Theres a way to kill twankers with stickies and going to a certain 'special' location before triggering it.

It should be the case that when a tank is on the rampage and up to 5-Star wanted level that military be called in to aid the police with heavy firepower. Only fair.

Well alot of people on this forum before the game was released called for realism. I guess them fixing this does make it more realistic.

That sucks if you can't snipe tankers anymore...I was never able to do it, but I'm probly not in public lobbies enough to try.

 

Also, it seems lately I haven't seen a tank, and if I do, everyone just avoids them and its just a tanker against the police while everyone else watches from a safe distance. It was funny there was 10 of us in a block with a tank, flippin n jerkin his dumbass from ledges and stuff. It was hard to stop laughing.

Yes, they do add content ( the frequency and quality of it is another topic in itself) but it seems to me like they cant take proper feedback from the community.

 

Banning harmless vehicles from players garages, not addressing the GS/BS issues properly, secluding cheaters rather than outright banning them, letting tanks roam for months immune to insurance claims , poor mission payouts for a damn long time, tank sniping removed, etc...

 

Of course they shouldnt bow down to the community's every little whims but still, it would be good if they could just step back a little and see that sometimes the community isnt just babbling sh*t.

It was cheating, stop whining about it. Tank drivers now pay for your destroyed cars again. So stop cheating and if you want to kill off a tank driver, Use passive mode, join a quick race to teleport, get into your car and grab a free jet from the base and blow the sucker up.

 

Also you can get into passive mode and spam call 911 police and sh*tloads of police will join the fray. Getting up nice&close so the tank eventually blows himself up.

 

Or teleport away and just mind your own stuff... or buy your own tank.

 

Honestly, a nice friendly fire off lobby would solve so much problems... I miss gta iv so much for that.
