Colour Combination Thread [Pictures]

Making this thread for those of us who enjoy looking at other peoples cars and copying it or altering it to our tastes. I've seen lots of "appreciation" threads and the odd colour combination thread, however normally they target one specific car, they don't post the colours used or it descends into an arguement about which vehicles better.

 

This thread will be used solely to post a picture of your best solour combinations for any vehicle.

 

The Aim:

 

• A thread for people to show off their best colour blends and combinations.
• Somewhere for car enthusiasts to browse and look for ideas.
• It gives people ideas on what colours look good and don't look good.
• Allows people to borrow your ideas or alter them.

 

Vehicle Rules:

 

1. The vehicle has to be legitimate. The average player should be able to acquire it online without modding, glitching or hacking.

• No SP > MP vehicles.
• No vehicles that aren't storable as off the latest update/patch.

2. All modifications/resprays are to be done without hacking, glitching or modding.

• Colours that have been save edited in are not permitted, they must be found in LSC.
• Crew colours are not permitted.

3. All vehicles must have an appropriate and tasteful colour combination.

• No chrome vehicles, unless it is done tastefully as a secondary colour.
• Make the vehicle flow, don't submit a great paintjob and wreck it with mismatched rims.
• Do not use fluro/bright/standout colours unless they suit the vehicle. So don't put lime green and bright orange on a corquette as they don't match nor look good. However a bright red/black combination will look good.
• No crew emblems please.

Image Rules:

1. Each post must have one or more photos of the vehicle.

2. The photos are not to be selfies or feature other players. Just scenery and the vehicle.

3. No dark unlit night shots. Take it during the day for proper visibility.

4. Do not apply any filters or frames.

5. Post the image not a link to the image in your post.

6. The vehicle is to be in good condition, not wrecked or scratched.

Posting Rules:

1. No chrome vehicles, unless it is done tastefully as a secondary colour.

2. Only post if you are submitting a colour combination. Do not go off topic.

• Do not rate any vehicles.
• Do not start conversations about which car is the best.
• No whining about chrome.
• Only post proper colour combinations that look good not random colours you've thrown together.
• Must have an image.
• Do not tell a story or go off topic.

3. Make sure all colours and car names are to be spelt correctly.

4. Include whether it is matte, classic, metallic.

5. One vehicle per post. Do not post a Turismo then a Sultan. If you want to post a second vehicle, wait until someone else has posted then post under them. This keeps it simplistic and uncluttered.

If you don't want your combination or vehicle style copied then do not post them.

I'm going to give Xbox/PSN cards to the best colour combination every week may be more then one winner a week. Spend it on cash cards or another game its your choice.

Honestly, some of the best colors come from modding. We shouldn't be restricted to no modding because there are very few colors that can be made legitimately, as opposed to nodding for every color in existence, especially now that we have access to an RGB color editor.

Like I said, has to be legitimate, its not entirely a showoff thread, its to help other players pick colour. It has to be recreatable without knowledge of modding.

Until then, I may as well make a contributive post, since I have nothing else better to do. I don't have a picture at the ready, being on my phone, but here it is anyways. Works wonders on sedans and coupes, so I'll just name a couple off.

That's sexy as f*ck man. I like the orange you'd think its clash with the blue but it doesn't. Attention getting, unique but not douchey. Very nice blend.

Has anyone else noticed during MP that 90% of the people with chrome or awful color blind combination paint job/rims that it is 10-15 year old kids playing?
