Locking out customs

Prior to the recent patch 1.11 we were able to lock out the custom vehicle option by limiting our custom races to one specific vehicle.

 

THIS IS NO LONGER TRUE

 

The custom option now comes up on races where the vehicle is limited to one type. This in my opinion breaks these races. You can turn it off but the fact that it was not even an option was very effective in keeping people from not liking your track due to being unable to complete it in the wrong vehicle.

 

Very much want to see this put back the way it was.

Nothing to see here...the reason it has opened customs is because the Sanchez II was added to every race by the patch whether you had off road available or not...so thus it now has two vehicle options and customs become available. f*cking retards added a vehicle where it didn't belong and didn't add any of the vehicles that should have been added (sports and super).

 

Sigh have to edit every one of my races now.

I don't know which is which yet. Though in the creator they are listed as Sanchez (Livery) and Sanchez (livery). I believe the lower case L one is the 2 as it is right above the Bifta in the list.

The sanchez 2 is the one with the vinyl that can't be customized, right?

 

you are correct sir...

 

luap's right that they both show as very similar names in game, i hadnt noticed the Big L little l on the livery tho, a well spotted point Luap...

I'm confused and I'm chasing these kind of posts around. Sanchez II point I have noticed so I'm not querying that. The new vehicles not added... I've raced both my Jester and Turismo on custom tracks, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Tuesday night some of the guys ran the stock Jester as well. Is this no DLC car thing only applicable to stock, we may have used them on a R* one but I can't remember.

 

Of my 13 races, 10 are street bikes and one is boats so I'm easy ;)

Yeah Cuz. If you had sport and super enabled on a custom race before patch they just had a checkbox. After the patch is says Sport (10/12) Super (8/9) or something to that effect. It does not automatically add the new vehicles to the availability. So we have to edit the track and click off and then back on the sport and super categories for those stock vehicles to be allowed. It actually applies to the Roosevelt as well but seems no one really noticed till now.

 

If you own one though and customs are on then they are allowed regardless of the stock settings.

 

Also, all 10 of your street bike races will now have an unexpected option to use a single offroad vehicle because of the sanchez thing. This also means that the host has the option to set the race to offroad instead of MC and you end up with a field of custom offroad rides. Have fun editing.

People can run Biftas on my street bike races if they wish, lol. I wouldn't mind seeing that!

I imagine its unlikely in the extreme that some random person would take it upon themselves to actually act on my sig, let alone switch it to off road, I'll keep an eye out for my stats changing when I've not hosted it myself, it'd be something of a novelty...

 

I'll have a look at some friends races later and tell em the bad news.

 

Not surprised no one noticed the Roosevelt, haha.

This seems to be more broken than initially thought. I have been editing my maps to get rid of the Sanchez but there is a problem. I have a Sandking only race that clearly says in the editor that only the one sandking is available, but when you get into the race it allows that sandking and both sanchez bikes as options. It does not allow the option of custom vehicles though.

 

I don't get it. I can't get rid of them.

To clarify, any race that has offroad available will have both sanchez bikes available whether you want them or not.

And include Motorcycle races in this also. Any race with MC class on has Sanchez's available whether on or not.

Yeh, this is a real pain and certainly a decent sized breakage. Particularly in races locked to a vehicle which will be outperformed by the Sanchez or its use is entirely inappropriate.
