Can someone clear up the advertisement rule for me?

My thread recently got deleted as it was in violation of the advertisement rule, I didn't know posting Facebook links was considered that and I wasn't promoting a product, I'm sorry for the mix up but I don't know why that was wrong and how it correlates to advertisement, any response or clarification would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!

Well, any links to Facebook pages/YT videos are taken as spam as some people here advertise their pages. You can put links to Facebook profiles in your signature tho :^:

I checked out the topic you made. You may advertise your facebook page as Polish suggested. The reason it was removed is because the topic had no basis for discussion.
