Rockstar should update radio-stations

iFruit FM wouldn't be that bad actually. If they have an app, they could allow it to see your music, and you give permission for the app to stream the music from your device (if any) to the in-game radio.

If you look on wiki, you can see that multiple songs were removed, maybe they'll come in the future with the story DLC they've spoke about. You have to pay for a songs license to be able to use it for whatever without getting copyright rammed down your throat, so I don't see how they can have songs, then not have them, the artist/management would be told what the song would be used in/for before anything actually goes through. I know companies can pull out, car manufacture's are the worst for pulling out of video games, music is different though.

Aside from Black Flag and the Adolescents, Channel X could use a major revamp. I think most people would opt for a metal station in it's place, given the popularity of hardcore punk right now.

I dont know how much work it would require, but they should come up with something where if its a station that plays current music, it should update itself with whats currently hot. due to the fact its online it wouldnt be tough to have it constantly update itself.

 

and rather than using strictly licensed music that they acquired, could pay out a royalty/sync fee to the music publishers/owners per streaming.

 

but... they are clearly too cheap to do this. it would be cool though

ive worked on video game soundtracks in the past (nba ballers series, madden, etc.) and the licensing fees they offer are almost laughable compared to the amount of units sold and profit margins made. im sure the same applies to R*

I'm kinda surprised that they didn't partner up with pandora or shoutcast or someone to have streaming radio in game. Oh well, PC master race version will let us put our own music in.

The beat 102.7 was great in IV. Green Lantern and Premier on the classics? Tough to beat. I like GTA 3 as well. GTA 5 radio is ok it guess but I think it was a pretty big letdown.

Because of this, I have turned down the radio volume completely so I could just listen to my music from my computer.

If GTA 4 is any indication, we will get music when there is a significant update to story mode. So I would assume that's when we'd get new songs. But I, myself, would also be open to 'paid music only DLC' as well.

I lIke most of the music in the GTA series, and I generally love the on air personalities.. it would be great if R* were to keep these folks employed. Streaming new content from my favorite DJs would be most appreciated, and would go a long way in keeping the game fresh.

It'd be hard for them to update some of the stations like FlyLo FM and Soulwax FM because they're all mixed. They'd have to re-record the mix with new material.

 

Still waiting for custom stations so I can do an EDM/Electro mix. Justice, Kavinsky, The M Machine, etc.

I feel like they had this on the original "San Andreas", or something similar... I remember cruising around listening to Tool.
