Broughy breaks down the DLC Cars (and others)

I have got a best lap time of 58.434 with a jester on this track. Now I'm not here to say that car X is better than car Y, but I really don't think this broughy guy spends enough time behind the wheel of each car he tests to give any accurate information. It's obvious that in his opinion the elegy is the best sports car, which leads me to believe that he spends a much larger amount of time driving it than other sports cars, and because of this he has much greater skill with it than anything else. Which is why he gets faster lap times in it, rather then the cars he hardly ever uses.We all know that pretty much all the cars in the game handle differently and my point is that broughy has found his car of choice by using what works for him (which is fine). In my opinion most of the sports cars are dead even it just comes down to if you can drive it well or not. So to anyone still reading this do yourself a favor and pick whatever car your most comfortable with because that is what will give you your best lap times.

While I agree with your post, the Elegy has the most traction of all sports cars, and as you were driving at, the difference in straight line speed (among the best 5 or so) is negligible. Leaving the Elegy, sadly, at the top.

*Jester is only a second slower than the Elegy, #2 Sports car overall

I interpreted this to mean that this guy thinks that the Elegy is the fastest sports car.

I thought it was the Carb. Do different people have different opinions?

Elegys hold the top times for any skill based track. Carbonizzer is faster on the straights.

Sorry train my phone autocorrected "post" to "list". You said the cars are dead even.

Surely you mean in a straight line, because obviously a Feltzer sticks more than a Comet, et cetera.

So if they're all close in the straights, the stickiest car will win. The Elegy.

Yeah, I got rid of the Entity and Elegy for the Turismo and Jester. I just think they're more fun

FasterThanYou

I remember this guy got a lap that was like 5 seconds faster in the Exemplar than any other coupe, but...

This wasn't that Coroners track by the way, it was something else. Can't remember what it was called though.

It all depends on the person driving, not the car.

You were racing suckers mate. Exemplar is head and shoulders above rest of coupes.

Haha, of course.

"My opinion can't possibly be wrong, if someone wins in another car then the people he was racing MUST be bad racers."

So you're saying you're a sucker if someone beats YOU in a different car? Or are you one of these people who blames their losses on everything but themselves?

I've said it a thousand times and I'll say it again:

It all depends on the person driving, not the car.

These results are relevant and handy for picking the "best" car around a track, but not always so relevant for actual racing.

I can't get on with the Turismo despite it's great handling and performance - the reason being that it's so easily knocked off line or in the air, be it by a bump, an object in the road, kerb or other driver - for me the Entity is still miles ahead in that regard and also the Adder (even the Vacca, my usual car, is really hard to knock about). In the sports class I've had a lot of success with the Alpha despite it's middle-of-the-pack ranking because it's such a forgiving car, it soaks up everything and is hard to knock about, making it a very nice car in actual races or indeed for free roam. I also like the Jester a lot, but "cruise" around more in the Alpha because it's a beast.

I know this isn't what Broughy's tests are about but it's a definite real-world factor if you're doing anything but setting solo lap times!
