GTA V is currently the best one in the series...

Most Wanted/Vigilante, cooler details (people fixing their cars, shooting people in different body parts result in different damage), better gunplay, more missions (most of them are cool, especially in the DLC's), satisfying ending, better characters. ^^

Just my opinion though, not saying you're wrong or anything. ^^

Officer Ronson

Well in terms of details I disagree with you..

- There are mechanics under the vehicles fixing the engine instead of a lone random guy wrenching the engine, there is also a towtruck doing its job carrying a vehicle from one side to another.

- Highway patrolmen seeting up speedtraps and using binoculars to overwatch the highways.

- When you get shot with a weapon there will be a bullet hole and after the bullet penetrates through that specific part of the body a spray of blood will fall over the person next to you covering them in blood or either falling into the ground.

Also for the damage system you can shoot somebody in the leg in IV and they will go away covering their stomach region. In V if you shoot somebody in the leg it will be pushed back and they will fall from the front, they also cant get up and shoot you while injured.

Shooting somebody in the neck will cause them to cover that part in pain and then just simply die, plus kicking somebody in the front of the head will make them cover their nose as if that part was critically damaged.

So no, no cooler details..

Vigilante.... I can agree with that one...

Gunplay is from a far the most dumbed down in the series, bulletspread is mostly forced, slow fire rates on weapons that are ment to be pretty fast such as the Glock 17...

Most of them are repeated but the ones in the DLC are pretty cool though...

And the last two are pretty subjective.. although I think the ending wasnt really that different depending on what you actually picked.

I wouldn't count the DLC that's really unfair. Better characters, I don't know, the protagonist are better than all of the characters in GTA IV bar NIko, but some characters in IV like in V were pretty awful. Most Wanted is cool, but it sometimes felt dragged out a bit, as there were a lot of them.

Better gunplay, not really there is a wide variety of guns in V and I like the aiming system better than the one IV as it doesn't show me any health system of the targets. The weapons sounds in V are more reminiscent to Max Payne 3 which is something I appreciate more. Some of the sounds in IV sound a little bit exaggerated especially the Uzi. Keep in mind this is my opinion.

Missions, definitely no.

For me the fire rate was pretty fast through.

Never noticed these details in V...shot someone in many parts, but didn't notice really anything.

Never seen those things in the first point, could be there, but I have personally never seen it in V.

Never saw that spray of blood to be honest and never saw someone fall down because of it.

I agree that some of the missions are repetive, but there are also some cooler ones in it. Oh, and this: You have more freedom in the missions, you could choose how to approach and clear the missions, you could even stray from the mission area for some preparations, or blow the target up with a RPG or shoot them with a Sniper a few meters further. In V, it would mostly lead to a mission failure because you went too far from the mission area.

I also think IV is less hard, because you don't have regerenative health and no checkpoints, I thought V was too easy at times.

Freedom is something good but it doesn't really make the missions great, but in some ways is mostly backwards gameplay as it is just different entrances to go to, for example the snow storm. Also Lester assassinations had quite a lot of freedom to do them, especially The Vice and Hotel Assassination with other missions in the game as well, but in this ones I could actually change the gameplay.

But some of the mission had more scripting I think, and once you leave the area most of the time you failed. In IV you could stock up some weapons, go to a hotdog stand etc.

But in V there's mostly one way to complete a mission if you know what I mean, in IV some missions required you to think to find other (and easier) ways to complete them. Take the mission Lure: You have to kill a gangster which is protected by goons in an apartment. You could infiltrate the apartment and fight lots of goons and then try to catch the target. But you could also go to the crane a few streets further and climb it, and then snipe the target through the window. That way you won't get a wanted level either.

To be honest, I didn't like none of the assassination missions in GTA IV bar Flatline. GTA V's and Vice City's were much cooler because they were all different. In the Vice Assassination for example, I could go to the target destination first and plant bombs, then later head to the directed location were the prostitute is, wait for the target to come to pick her up follow them. as soon as they get there, I get out of the car snipe the prostitute first than activate the bombs blowing up the car and killing the target at the same time.

Even in Flatline you have multiple ways of completing: Pick up the doctor outfit or don't, without it you will get shot instantly. And when you have the outfit, you could either shoot the patient dead (with everybody instantly after you) or do it more sneaky by turning that machine off, haha.

Yeah Flatline was really cool, It was the only cool assassination for me in the game.

Saints Row 4 was a DLC that turned into a 'complete game' this is the sad reality that SR has become :/

SR series is a joke and a GTA clone and story-wise let's be honest, the first 2 were unbelievable 'college boy gangstaz' and the story only felt long because THQ used the activity fillo-meter illusion.

V rapes the entire SR series :)

I mean how groundbreaking was III's story? There are so many plot holes, did this matter? No it's still considered one of the greatest games of all time.

VC story, rip off of scarface. It was basically Scarface from a criminal-turned-business man's POV. Did this matter? No it's still considered one of the greatest games of all time.

SA, sigh. You were a gangbanger who is trying to save your brother from being killed in prison. Wow, such depth. Did this matter? No it's still considered one of the greatest games of all time.

IV is the only time Rockstar had an actual story to tell. And you all hated it at first, claiming (maybe rightfully so) that mission have no variety and the main character is depressed all the time.

Then they gave you variety, fixed the handling for those who hated it, and a giant city with a countryside. And you still bitch? You're all either 12 or over the age of 18 and still wanting it to be SA2.

Obviously there is a lot of criticism of IV and V so I wont get into all of it, but you get the point. Or do you?

VC was NOT SF ripoff. Have you seriously even watched the movie..? Because you most be to stupid to think that VC is a Scarface rip off. I dont want to spoil anything about scarface, so I wont bring out points.

I saw Scarface last year and, damn, I was thinking about Vice City from the beginning to the end.

I wouldn't say it's a ripoff, because the similarities are way to obvious. I'd say that Vice City is a tribute to the movie.
