New Feature? Hats on Bike instead of Helmet

Today I just found this feature that actually lets you wear hat instead of helmet as default headgear when riding bike. I'm not sure when this feature was installed, probably new or maybe even from the beginning. Either way, I'm just going to share with you guys who still don't know about this.

 

1. Use Inventory, select Hat, scroll through and press Square to Set

 

 

2. Voila

 

 

 

 

EDIT: You have to wear the hat in order to keep it on. Otherwise, your character will wear a helmet.

i have the helmet mask glitch on right now. I was wondering what I was missing to do the Hat + mask glitch and I think this is what I didn't realize.

Do you also happen to know a glitch to wear a pair of pants on your head, with a mask on and glasses while driving?

from the beginning of GTAO you would keep your hat as long as you didn't stay still for too long for your character to get out their helmet.

Being able to set the hat like a helmet is new though I think.

 

Sometimes when I spawn in my PV I will still be wearing a hat even if it is a car, if i get out and get back in it usually disappears though.

^ Never paid attention to your case. But I noticed if the car is originally roof-less, you'll get to keep your hat on.

 

For people who are confused, this feature lets you keep your hat on, even when you're idling on your bike.

I've done that before and as soon as I stop the bike for more than a few seconds my character automatically changes to a helmet.

Re-set your hat again. This also happened to mine when I was running to my garage during cop chase. I had to re-set the hat again.

 

Just a little buggy feature.
