im on every chance i get, ive just recently bought half a douzen new games but i cant bring myself to eject the GTA disc from the playstation lol

 

as ive said before, im not a gamer, but for me, this game offers everything i need, its not over difficult, nor is it too easy and child-like, the graphics really arent that bad, although i suppose theres better out there, and im starting to enjoy teaming up with random people instead of just solo sessions

 

i like cars, but dont like over complicated racing games like gran turismo, i like shooting but i dont like shoot-them-up platform games

I very rarely play GTAO these days, all my friends and family have moved on from GTA5 and either gone next-gen or play other games. I check out the updates from time to time, bought the business clothes and tried the cars the other day but thats it. Nothing really much there to make come back regular. I'll leave the game now until the next DLC and play some other games. I've still got Dead Island to finish so I'll probably get stuck back into that.

Dusted off my 360 for the first time in 4 months (XBone FTW!) and had to play GTAO. Bought myself the new cars, had some fun with the new clothes and just terrorised a few people. I have missed this game but I cant help but notice the HUGE graphic difference between current gen and next gen (obviously), and that will be the reason I wont play this that much. I reckon it would be even better on XBone/PS4. This has probably been discussed millions of times but that's just the way I feel about this game. For it to survive, it will need to be on next gen at some point in the not too distant future.

I'm still playing because no matter what people say, the GTA series has been great, and GTA V is just as good as any other. (I know, controversial opinion) Sure, things change, graphics get better, dialogue may get poorer. What you have to rememeber is that depite being such a well know and professional game design company, R* is constantly learning too. Their job is harder than you think. They have to attempt to keep all of their fans happy in a world where the divide between generations is bigger than ever before.

 

R* could spend years making a game with such a well thought out story, amazing dialogue, and in-depth character development. I'm sure 99.9% of their fan base would love that, but they also have to make huge advances in graphics and realism. They can't do both of these in such extremes due to various set-backs. One of these being the fact that our consoles cannot physicaly work to that ability yet, but also because it would spread their resources too thin. There are simply too many things to think about, not matter how many people they have working for them.

 

As well as this - as i mentioned at the start - the difference between generations is huge and must be scary for a company that is expected so much of. They have to work for the older generations who (on the whole) want a more character driven , realistic story. However, at the same time they have to work for the younger generations who (on the whole) want lots of action, guns, violence and car chases. How they have managed to produce a game such as GTA V that has managed to keep so many people happy is beyond me. And they've been doing it for years!

 

Anyway, overall I'm still playing the game because I respect it, and it is brilliant. Yes, they are so many flaws, so many things that could have been better, but it would never have been perfect. R* is working on new content, fixing bugs, and just trying to keep us all happy. Sure, sometimes they don't get it right, but at least they try.

 

If you don't agree simply don't bother replying.

For me it's an escape. I won't go into all the details. I never get bored of the game. There is always something different happening each time I log in, so I suppose it's like a new game everyday, it's never repetitive, and I love it how you always seem to come across something new every once in a while.

It's a much better game than it was at the start. The people join begin their life in Los Santos now don't know how good they have it lol.

I am still here because of the active ladies and gents in our crew! they make playing fun, addictive and a laugh every time. Without these people I may well of wondered off back to Assassins Creed MP or my PC. As it is, everything is going strong and loving the game!.

I stopped playing after I got a PS4, now I'm playing BF4/AC4 until InFamous comes out. My biggest problem with the game is the lack of freedom- the whole money system just sort of killed the fun. It brought in the sense of grinding from MMOs, but didn't bring in the satisfaction of levelling up. If they re-release it on next-gen, what I would hope for is a "free" freeroam a la RDR or GTAIV, and getting 5 RP for killing a cop or 1 RP for killing a civilian, to encourage the standoffs and chases that were such a big part of that game. That's what GTAO is missing the most- being rewarded for fighting the cops. As is, we get 400 RP for escaping a 4 star wanted level, but nothing if we decide to fight. I'm sure most of us remember holing out in the hotel lobby in GTAIV, fighting the police with shotguns. Had that been in there I think they game would have lasted a lot longer and been much more fun for me.

 

The only reason I played GTA:O for as long as I did was because I was waiting for new games. I had bought it intending for it to last until next-gen, which is what I ended up forcing myself to go with. I really did not enjoy spending most of the time grinding for money.

I stopped when I first got my PS4, but I platinumed Ac4 and got a bit bored with Killzone, so in between waiting for new PS4 games and actually playing them, I play GTA:O. Its replaced Skyrim as my go-to game when I have time to kill or just want to mess around for a while.

I still play the Game because I've met some new people through it, like yesterday I was just standing there and 2 Guys came up to me and we ended up having fun for houuuuurs and it was pretty cool, so actually meeting awesome people who aren't gonna kill you from the second they spot you is what keeps me going.

I keep playing for two reasons: The first being it seems inevitable Rockstar are going to keep enhancing this game overtime with a lot of neat DLC, so I want to have enough cash to avail of the extras in the future.

The second is for all its limits GTA still provides daily excitement, in Single Player, everything felt monotonous but it's the users in Online that contribute to its appeal.

I've had sessions where the users are pretty boring, but since returning from my hiatus last week I've been pleasantly surprised by the quality of users I'm being paired with.

I preordered GTAV and the disk went in the tray 5 minutes after I got home. It has not left that tray since it went in there. I have not watched any television shows, movies, netflix, read a book, played another game or any of the other numerous things that I might find entertaining since I started playing this. Why? Because I find this more entertaining with its wide variety of things to do, endless possibilities and constantly changing environment.

I only stop playing in my free time for Eating, bathroom, sex or family obligations. I am happily entertainedby GTAO

Pretty much the only 2 things Rockstar excels at are maps and cars, nailing them better than any other studio. Pretty much the only thing Bethesda CAN'T do is cars. If Fallout 4 can nail vehicles, I really can't imagine what would bring me back to GTA. But Beth has never attempted cars so either Fallout 4 won't have them or they won't be very good. So GTA it is.

Bethesda needs to give up on that stupid engine they use and move onto something new. That thing is archaic and simply can't keep me interested long enough to even finish any of their recent games.
