KeeJay
So, the question is simple: can Zmod2 export all ImVehFt materials? Let's get example: I have a car. I want it to have front lights, fog lights, reversing lights and turn lights. After assigning all textures to proper material, then assigning them to some polygons everything look good in 3d view.Let's export it. In game it have lights flagged [FL], [RL] etc., other lights are blinking after swithing on right turn light. Why?Imported model to Zmod2: as I said, Zmodeler merged all other lights materials to one, this time rear right turn light. How to force Zmodeler2 to NOT merge materials like this?Any ideas?BTW: I can upload model, if it's needed
Tado Hamann
Hello, ZModeler always merge materials with this same used texture like this when you import model from Grand Theft Auto format, not only ImVehFt materials. There is nothing to do with this. You can only save the model as ZModeler scene when materials are correct and use only export to DFF. Exported model should have these textures correctly. KeeJay
Wait, I don't get it. Save the model as Zmod scene (z3d) with proper materials, then what?
Tado Hamann
Nothing next, simplier you can't import this model into ZModeler from .DFF format because the materials will merged. Save the model as ZModeler scene, then export it as .DFF and when you want to do edit of your model, open your saved (Z3D) scene and then export modified model. KeeJay
But the point is Zmod2 merges when exporting, not importing :|
Tado Hamann
If the materials are correct before export action, the exported model will have correctly adapted these textures until you again import the model into ZModeler. So the point it that you need to export the model when your textures are not merged together. Edited March 5, 2014 by Tado Hamann
