OK so I took a stab at mikepluggers challenge. My entity time in the no holds barred section I was not sure under what circumstances it was achieved so I did 6 laps straight up with no catchup, slip, other players or goofy start line tricks or whatnot. Entity 55:681

 

 

That´s not bad at all mate, in fact that´s pretty good for a simple 6 laps attempt! Because that means if you start doing longer and more frequent runs you´ll probably end up in the 54´s. And that´s really fast. So kudos to you.

I think the reason I dont have more top times is because I hate motorcycles. They are a chore for me and one slip means respawn and game over. The rare clean lap I get is usually pretty fast.

Secondly, ever since the creator came out I rarely race non custom tracks.

i know what you mean tho dude, its much less forgiving being on two wheels than it is on 4, but personally i really love a good bike race (and i know cuz feels the same) and once you get those crotch rockets under your control you can set some really fast times... i reckon if you spent just 1 day racing solely bikes youd have it dialled and put up some really competitive times..

 

 

if i get a chacne tonight im gonna set some time in things that are rarely used... some sedans and coupes, maybe some compacts while we dont have many on the OP so hopefully will give you some more things to aim at that arent just bikes

I personally think they should be made more equal to supers to maintain competition. Also think a wheelie should slow you down. You dont see land speed records being set on one wheel in real life.

fair point on the speed records but imo the reduced traction is a fair reason to give greater acceleration on bikes, after all there 50% less rubber drag on the ground... wheelies dont give you a higher top speed, just better accel. so if you time them coming out of corners it can help improve your lap times cos you spend less time getting upto speed,

 

that said i dont use a bati (the wheelie king, next to a faggio) myself, i much prefer the handling of an akuma and that thing is so damn heavy getting a wheelie for more than 3 seconds is like clocking a world record time, near on impossible

 

 

out of interest when you do race bike do you use your ebrake (rear wheel) when cornering? its a helluva lot more stable than the standard brake (front wheel) in a corner and again will help improve your times

I don't actually use the brakes that often. (Probably why I crash a lot) Typically I will try to take a corner the first time at full thottle, leaning forward...if that fails I attempt it without leaning forward...then I try with a few different lengths of releasing throttle...if that still isn't getting it then I use a very short hit of the left trigger just prior to the turn and then accellerate through with leaning. If the turns are really tight into alleys and such I usually slow down by smashing my face into something.

try using RB/A instead of your left trigger... ill guarentee youll up your game,

 

becuase LT is the front brake you lose traction from your rear wheel, which will slow you down and reduce your handling ability... using RB/A will brake the rear wheel, givein your stable handling and better traction = more accelaration as you pull out of the corner...

 

defo stick to your full throttle/throttle back rules first if your getting used to a corner, but if you find it does require that little tap (braking is only really a small tap on bike so your spot on there) using your E-brake will give you alot more stability and much better time

Handling isnt an issue as I brake before I start the turn. Ebrake slows it down too much for me. And also I dont like what it does to the camera.

Since I was there I decided to run it once more with GTA boosts and a hole shot on the start line for lap 2. Going for the boosts actually tended to take me off my lines and gave me some squirlly moments so not sure how much help it was but overall I was able to better my time once again. Akuma 49.7

Of course as soon as I said I didn't like to use GTA boosts for time trials, what do I do? Solo GTA time trial.. ended up coming in with a 49:041.

I don't think so, the GTA races are a separate leader board. Although our 51.6xx Akuma times are in the top 50 (46 & 48) worldwide for regular races. And top 6 Akuma times for that track.

Im curious to see some times on cutting coroners in supers.

 

I also have a crew record on the Time Trial on learning curve in coupes.

 

Its a challenging track and if people want to that also i can look into the forum and find the original post with the times and picture proof.

Solo time! After seeing Broughy's vids I've been using Coroner's as a test track for all my vehicles, I didn't feel that was a perfect lap so I'll have to try and better it!

 

The Selleck took some effort - had to find a gif then resize it with an online editor to fit max 150pix height for sig then host in Photobucket... But it was worth it!

2:08:428 on Dipping In with Akuma. It wasn't a solo race, but it was with catchup off and I can assure you I was in the lead by 30+ seconds after the first lap... I'll post screen shot in a min.

yeah that thought hadn't occurred to me when i took it, was way too stoked on getting that time haha.

 

just finished running old downtown in my blista for a time of 39.006 just to start getting different classes going, i saw kracus had a time up and figured why not

I also have a time on learning curve in my exemplar. 1:39.196

 

Run solo offcourse, no boost ect ect. This was also in one of our TT weeks in our crew.

I archieved it in a total of 30 laps.

 

And this time was so hard to handle really difficult to do so. And im currently holding the record in the crew for this track in coupes.

 

Also i think if your gonna update the times in the OP. Then it should be organized by class to make it more fair for the one who are trying it in the same class as we have now 2 times in coupes.

Also if anyone doubts the validity of being able to get a world record... jsut as a little bit of proof, it is possible... this was from the first day that the beachbum DLC was released... always good to get your WR attempts in on the first day of new content... This is 1 of 17 world records i took on the first day of BB, most of them were beating my own times on the new tracks.

 

and if your good enough you can also beat the top time by 20 seconds too....
