@brownmatthall, when i got the new turismo i did 10 laps on cutting coroners and got 54.4 just to see where the turismo stands out. I sold my entity as the light handling suits my driving better also the turismo's back can break out so its way more fun to drive and keep stable.

 

I also have a couple of world records but that doesnt say anything. Its to bad there is not a good system to show real world records ive seen some really crazy times as the 19 sec record on cutting corners. In my entity i hit the 19-20 second mark in the cp under the bridge after the second right corner.

 

Also in my jester i hit the same time in that cp but i have only played 1 hour since the dlc so i have not get used to the jester. I like the 9f more its a challenge to keep it on the road and i love the look and sound of it.

 

The 9f cabrio sounds like a 4 cilinder and it does not have the nice lines cause of the convertible top.

@faster - not sure what Help senilsson got f2from a guy who clocks a 1:24 and dnf's, but I also know snillson isnt one to shy away from a fun challenge

 

 

I know that time isn´t possible running solo in a race without pickups. After a week of running, top 3 times in the contest were separated by a tenth. That´s a sign people got damn close to the maximum possible. I mean, you can shave a fraction from that being inspired, certainly not 1.something. It´s just not possible without pickups, slipstream, or comming off the track.

 

Also, let´s be serious. I don´t want to be a spoiler or throw nonsense tantrums, but you don´t need to be Sherlock Holmes or Paranoid Jack to see the story doesn´t cut it. He said himself he was racing with catchup on. We know he was leading by the end of lap 1 doing some maths. So that means he had very reduced power ALL THE WAY through lap 2 (as he was leading with catchup being on) where he set a time more than a second faster in a under 1 minute circuit.

 

To summarize, a guy manages in one lap (2 lap race, only one lap where you can actually do a good time) and with very reduced power what a full crew couldn´t do in one week doing over 20 lap runs serveral times per week, with full power from their car.

 

The time is very fast, and it´s pretty impressive doing it whatever the conditions were. So kudos for it. All I´m saying, and I repeat the point, is that it is obvious that isn´t a solo lap, with no turbo pickups, no slipstream, and no NOS.

I want to add that you dont only have to post your time when you beat it, just try it and post your time.

 

Its not about winning but i want to see the other fast players, the hidden talents. So post your times.

@Nivak...no idea man I must have run that track at least 300 times with and without opponents with all car classes since release. I probably have insane times on every class but there is really no way to see. I can tell you though that I cant hold a candle to a Bati and its wheelies. You should easily overtake it.

 

Welp, finally beat your Downtown Underground time @ 1:03:403 in a solo time trial. Just set it a bit ago so it hasn't updated on leader board yet, but here's a photo of the scoreboard.

 

 

 

@nirvak - will do when Im on a computer tomorrow, you want it up in the No holds barred section? Ive a pretty good track record for offroading so ill give grass rt a shot and see if I can best you

 

Yes, please. That time was achieved in a real race with slipstream, so it belongs in no holds barred. It was set with a stock Sanchez, so seeing your off-road times I'm sure you'll be able to beat that.

I finally cracked allmost all juice out of Elegy at 0.57.1xx and it seems there is 3 seconds gap? Seems there is new king in Sports cars.

 

I must race with the likes to witness these kind of laps.

No the turismo is a super car. But in the elegy 54 sec is also possible we have zskunk in our crew or had he is quite some time offline now. He did a 54.4 or 54.7 in the elegy in a 30 lap session on cutting coroners.

Hard to be accurate.

A person in the back of a several player race with cacth up on will have a considerably lower lap time than someone racing solo.

While weve got no holds barred and the "specific challenges" seperately, should we male a common rule that all specific challege Times are set as solo and anything with other players in the lobby is in the "no holds barred" section. Lemme kniw your votes guys

Yeah the specific must be solo otherwise you have slipstream and catchup wich improve your speed.

 

Running solo, post a picture of proof. Wil be the way to go

We host various of time trials in our crew, and thats the way we always do it to prevent people to "cheat"

 

Like the time posted a 2 lap time trial of that guy before, i would never buy that. At first you let the other guy go ahead and then with catchup on you get that boost when he is ahead and your going faster then normal in the second lap.a nd then the other guy just dont finish.

 

That the way i think that was set.

 

Like i said i battled with Fasterthenyou on that TT beating echother times throughout the whole week. And by tenths even less i know what is possible i did so many laps 150 at least in that whole week maybe 200 even. I did sessions of 15 laps 2/3 times a day when i played.

 

But i dont want to accuse but i think thats the way how that time was set and if it is not the case then i shows that racing with someone else does something to the race and thats why solo runs is a must.

Thats impossible mike, if you do maths he led into lap 2. So catchup slowed him all the lap LOL

 

Anyway I thought catchup just slowed the leader, and didnt boost the rest. Might be wrong there, never really raced a lot with it.

It's a wicked little course. We only race it in sports class and my best laptime on it is a 1:21.8 set with an Elegy. The best I've ever done on this same course with a Coquette was a 1.27 which ultimately led me to buy an Elegy as my sports car of choice for racing.

I use this course to test vehicles because I consistently get the same laptime with my Elegy.

 

First 6 laps with a Feltzer = 1:26.88

Then 4 laps with a Jester = 1:26.07

 

Beautiful track man. Superb.

ran another 30 or so laps on CC in the turismo and cut it down to a 58.7, ive been pushing the car more and more now that im familiar with the track but still.....another 3 seconds off seems like quite a tall order. also im about to run that custom track i ordered, maybe even try that z-type challenge, brb!

OK so I took a stab at mikepluggers challenge. My entity time in the no holds barred section I was not sure under what circumstances it was achieved so I did 6 laps straight up with no catchup, slip, other players or goofy start line tricks or whatnot. Entity 55:681

 

I also had never done this track on motorcycles so I threw in a 6 lap run on my Akuma as well. Akuma 51.602 that should put me at 45th in the world after only 6 laps lol.

 

Since I was there I decided to run it once more with GTA boosts and a hole shot on the start line for lap 2. Going for the boosts actually tended to take me off my lines and gave me some squirlly moments so not sure how much help it was but overall I was able to better my time once again. Akuma 49.7

Nice times, Laup! You inspired me to try the Akuma (second character has one), and was able to squeeze out a 51:669. So.. close. I'd forgotten how awesome that bike was.

All I see is your straight race @ 51.602 (the time I was trying to beat) and the GTA race. I'm not really into using boosts for time trials, but nice time regardless! And I believe GTA is a separate leader board.

im happy with it being any race time, plans boats cycles, cars... makes it a lil more dynamic and interesting..

 

mallard is often the top dog in plane races, its more about its maneuverability than its speed, that thing can turn on a pin... and that time of 1:29 is something like 15 seconds faster than my downtown downtown time of 1:45... good on you sir...

i expect that most poeple who post on my threads are honest, fair racers and honest fair people mike, you know the red rum folk, we know you apex guys, thats a fair chunk of well seasoned and gentlemanly racers who take no pride in cheating or lying, we sort our difference on the blacktop like real racers... and if we attract some new guys into the fold then our lil racing community grows...

 

personally i look past crew affiliations and see a really strong GTAF based racing community that regularly get together for fair fun, this threads is just an extension of that and a place we can set the bar for each other and push to make us all better racers,

 

if 1 guy puts up a good time, i hope to see 5 guys trying and 2 guys beating him.... eventually we will all be clocking top 1000 times on the global leaderboards...

 

 

Edit: Ive also added a third and Final section to the OP.... the Head2Head section....so weve got everything covered, no holds barred, solo time trials and a head2head 1vs1 section... if you wana throw down and show that top lap times arent all that racing si about... jump into a head2head battle and post a pic of your finish times.

 

Double Edit: Added all the new times to the OP,,, man you guys know how to keep me busy... Im also liking those that Link the Time with a picture... makes it alot easier for me to copy and paste it and it gives the proofs in the OP without a million images.....

you would need to run a gta race on a bike then check the leaderboard at the end.... defiantly a damn fast time for sure, but GTA races and Standard races are tracked separately and theres no real visibility on SC of the GTA/Rally times... shame really

 

id like to see drop boxes on Social Club for Race Type & Car Class inh addition to the current ones
