Character Creation = Skills throughout

Have you guys/gals noticed long term differences

I know if you pay attention you see when you are creating the Character that will represent you while online, you will see that the amount of time you pick doing things affects the amount of skill you start off with for the different abilities ...

On my primary PSN ID i created both my 1st and 2nd Characters based solely on Looks ...I played these two Characters until the 1st was level 125 and the second is Level 40 or so

Both Characters Have Maxed out the Skills with the exception of Stealth

But about 2 weeks ago i made a separate PSN ID, as a hideaway ID for the times i didnt want to be bothered with friends and just wanted to play quietly by myself

So when i created my Character I joked with my wife and said this guy is gonna look as Old and tired as i really look ( I am 52)

as i picked and family members for my heritage, then went on to Lifestyle, to get the suttle differences ..I noticed how my Driving ability jumped plus my flying ability....so i kept working with the lifestyle settings keeping the look i wanted but keeping my driving and flying skills as high as i could and not hurt my shooting skills to much ...which resulted in a Old Hagered looking Guy = Perfect

But here is what i have noticed while playing and i will be comparing My main Character on my Main Account to my Character on the Hideaway Account

My Main is Level 125 all skills maxed out except for stealth

My Hideaway is Level 41 Driving, Shooting, Stamina Maxed out Flying 75% Stealth = Sucks

Both Characters are equal in Driving as far as the stats go and this is where i started noticing Big Differences in the Two as i switched between IDs

In races (when i can slip into matches with friends from my Main Account and me on the hideaway) My Driving skills are a lot better, just suttle touches on the controller have a different effect on the car .....skids are easier to control, spinouts dont happen as often and getting to top speed is easier, bumps or rams have less effect on me...and the best racer in our crew cant hardly beat me in a clean race..if we hit or bump by accident he cant beat me......as far as top speed goes on my main account it is in the Z type at 159mph and this is in a fully modded Z type ....on my hideaway account my top speed is still in the Z type at 156 and this Z Type was stock ...now i would hope over 300k in upgrades on the Z type i own under my main ID would equal more than 3mph LOL

Maybe its Mental, but it has left me wondering if the extra skills we start off with do add to the max amount of skill we build ..instead of just making it faster to max that skill out .......

Top speed doesn't change with upgrades mate. Just acceleration and on a very slight level, braking. My BMW M5 irl has a button to go from 395hp to 500hp but the top speed is still 205 (limited to 155 since i live in USA. R* kept it realistic for once.

Oh and also try driving a z type in single player and it can actually hit its real top speed. Also slipstreaming in a race counts toward top speed online. My top speed is 143 on a freaking sanches i always race yet i push my carbonizarre to max speed each time i drive it. I don't really trust online stats.

Haha, american peasants. I had a M5 once here in Germany and could drive 308km/h with that. Germany Masterrace.

I know that the upgrades dont show any affect on top speed.......That can be an argument for another thread

What i am taking about is when you create your character to start with, and the way your lifestyle changes your starting ability ........on the second ID i created i ended up with a starting Character that had almost 2 bars on driving ......where as my first had maybe 1/2 a bar

After leveling up both my accounts to the same stats on driving ..it seems the one that started with the higher stats has more car control ...and what i am talking about is ME using the controller....on my main account that I have to be a lot more gentle with my steering and braking ect or i loose control of the car....the controller seems more touchy .........on the second account driving the same car with the same upgrades i can drive a lot more aggressively without loosing control ......it almost feels like i go from a wore out controller to a brand new one,

I dont trust the stats so it left me wondering could the abilitys we first start our online journey with ...add to the ability's giving one a higher ability in the end.........for instance..lets say 5 bars max out the stat meter for pro racer...but i started off with 2 bars after character creation, could i end up with 7 bars after fulling maxing out the meter (the last two bars dont showup) from maybe a flaw in the programming..or something left out ....like the 1.5 increase in payouts rockstar claims they added this update........the payouts have not changed......only the menu item where you set the difficulty level to Easy,Normal or Hard now tells you that you get more if you play them on different settings

That's an interesting idea, very difficult to prove unless someone from rockstar said that was the game design. On a side note, I've finally found an older player than me! I'm 43
