Muting people from the lobby in 1.11

Hi all,

I noticed that you can now "view joined players info" or whatever in a lobby, this got me extremely excited at the possibility we'd be able to mute people in the lobby which is especially important in races since muting from the pause menu is a sure-fire way to lose the race so can't be done.

The first time I went in to this menu it has a "toggle mute" option, the next time it didn't and it seems to be quite random or glitchy. Anyone else noticed this or have an explanation for why it sometimes allows you to mute and othertimes not?

Mostly I haven't been able to mute so it hasn't been as welcome a feature as I thought it might be!

I can't imagine I'm the only one who'd like to be able to mute people in races when they're shouting in languages you don't understand, have lots of feedback or play loud music (or all three).

Do you mean in the pause menu? I know about that but in a race it's not practical... I also knew you could mute people when you were hosting a game but having joined one I couldn't see the option... if there has been an option then deary me I have endured a lot of noise for no reason!

OP, same thing is happening to me. Sometimes I'll be able to mute players in the lobby via View Players Info, but more often the option isn't there - especially for the most annoying players...

As i remember you are unable to mute people in races or missions, the option is simply just not there. The best you can do is turn down your tv's volume of plug in a headset.

Just get a headset where you have a separate volume knob for voice chat to avoid that in races.
