Can Somebody Please explain the Insurance rules Please.

I cant work out how the insurance rules work.

 

Last few days:

 

1, tank blows me up: I pay the bill.

2, Buzzard blows me up: I pay the bill.

3, Sticky bomb thrown at my car. I pay the bill.

4, I throw a sticky bomb at somebody chasing me and blow them up. I pay the bill.

5, Some dumb ass shoots my car outside cloths shop. I pay the bill.

6, My car is blown up on the other side of the map. I pay the bill.

 

Every time I blow somebody up - I get stuck with the bill. But if I get blown up I end up with the bill as well.

 

It cost me 40k just last night alone.

 

Does anybody know the rules?

Same here, happens all the time. Its just a "feature" that broke players don't pay. A feature that can be easily achieved by emptying your bank account on a second character, as is the norm for Tank drivers.

 

I think in that case the insurance should pay up and get the money back via bailifs from the perpetrator of the crime, ie - if someone is too broke to pay they end up in debt, if they're in debt for more than a few days (any money earned immediately pays the insurance company) the bailif shows up and takes their tank/cars/guns/appartment/clothes as payment instead. That would solve the problem easily and make people think twice about tank griefing etc.

They should make it so each character has a separate account that money cannot be transferred through. I've had the same problems with tank and broke griefers that ruin the game for me. I agree they should put a debt system in that disables all cars and Pegasus equipment.

I know people who have a second character and do it on purpose.

 

They keep their balance at $0 - but every now and again make 10k-20k on a car sale and a couple of missions, then spend it all on sticky bombs and ammo and go actively blowing people's cars (Adders, Roosevelts - all the expensive insurances).

 

They don't have to pay as they're broke. I saw somebody jump into the car impound and blow the two cars in there...then the owner of one of the cars started hurling abuse over the mic as he ended up footing the bill. $10k I think - it was an Entity. If they get "bad sported", they just wait for a couple of days and get right back on it.

Also, had a dude in passive mode run straight at me and under my car repeatedly. I didn't mind, my K/D went up. But then realised that I was shelling out for his healthcare bill each time. Not much, granted, but that must have been why he was doing it. Couldn't come up with any other explanation.

When I say second character, I of course mean players who have another ID to sign into PSN with. So when they get sin binned, they can keep playing normally with their main character.
