why are people such incompetent retards when it comes to rooftop rumble? i'm not talking about them shooting as soon as they spawn or blowing up the documents (although this pisses me off too) i'm talking about the person who picks up the documents and insists on taking their motorbike or sh*tty car instead of hopping in the helicopter that everyone else is in. this is why i hate hosting for randoms. has anyone else had a similar problem?

I mostly solo it.

If I do end up in a public lobby with randoms I try and grab the documents and jump on my Akuma as soon as.

50 seconds later the mission is finished.

I would never get into a helicopter piloted by someone I don't know, for all I know he could screw the mission up by crashing or what have you.

i think you have to be slow in the head to crash a helicopter on that mission since it's pretty straight forward. either way it's still faster than going by land.

Solo. So much better to just do things yourself. There is no teamwork in this game. There is actually an i in team in GTAO.

50 second journey on an Akuma taking the right route.

Maybe I can save myself 10 seconds on that with a fast helicopter. Wait, I gotta waste some time to collect the chopper to begin with. So.. Evens out most likely in the end.

Also, you would have to be very slow in the mind to crash a heli in RR, but that is perfectly describing 90% of the players I meet so, I'll waste 10 seconds of my life and guarantee success.

i guess you have a point. i always do this with a friend and 2 randoms because i'm sure the lowbies would love some cash. i just hate it when something goes wrong that makes me not want to host for people anymore.

If you want to do a quick rr invite a friend and start the mission. When the mission starts, one collects the chopper while another one gets the package. Then fly to Madrazo's,my fastest way.

I still think solo with a bike is faster.

Solo, I can clear the lot of all enemies and collect the package in ~30 AR rounds, 2 grenades, and about 30-40 seconds. Then I hop on my Akuma which is parked right next to where I shoot, saves time, and set off to Madrazo's.

The whole thing including load times (which are a bit faster in an invite only session in solo) (no waiting for other peoples connections) probably takes 3 mins a go.

Edit: 3 mins including all loading, 3 mins from paycheck to paycheck, if you will.

The only time I timed myself on this I got a 1m42s time just for the mission.

Works best (in my experience) with 1 or 2 friends.

-One orders the helicopter pickup while the rest (1 or 2 players) take out the professionals

-The person who ordered the helicopter kills the pilot while others are busy with the objective

-When the document is picked up, the guy waiting outside with the helicopter takes out the approaching enemies while the person with documents takes off

-One guy stays where the mission started so after the mission you just walk a few steps into mission trigger and repeat the process

i always drive it up rather than hop in the helicopter. the main reason i prefer RR to coveted is because in this game driving a car is much more fun than flying a helicopter, so to get in the heli would make RR as boring as coveted.

I prefer driving too when soloing RR, but with more people there seems to be always someone who wants to fly.

in my experience, 9 times out of 10 everyone gets in their respective cars and park them at the back of the building ready to drive off after shooting the professionals, very rarely even see a helicopter get ordered. but if i see someone has ordered one, and everyone else jumps in it i will get in just to not piss everyone off, so maybe me using the word 'always' was a little extreme, but this is very rare.

This. I do it in different cars to test out the handling, acceleration and amount of cover provided by different cars in my garage. If I'm going to do it a hundred times, I may as well get what I can out of it.

Incidentally, while the Jester is certainly sublime, you'll get riddled with bullets if you try to hide behind it. It's like crouching behind a go kart...

I prefer solo and use of Akuma. Randoms are always untrustworthy so far for me.

Or maybe the person landed on Martin's location at full speed, crash landed and blew us up along with the document, failing the mission.

My "favorite": same thing happened only this time the person with the document was the pilot and trying to finish the mission as fast as he could by bailing out of the chopper, missing the goal, helicopter (with us in it) crashed on top of him and helicopter blows up, killing us as well along with the document that was where the helicopter exploded. Followed by a typical kind words from people's mic.

It all happened in seconds by the way. If it were a minute, the passenger would easily steer the heli away and the mission would have been done no problem.

My bad. What i was trying to say was that when playing with friends there is always someone who wants to fly.

The few times i have tried RR with random people made me lose my hope in humanity :D

I failed this for the first time yesterday(my fault), felt really bad as a member here was hosting.

AP pistol at close range can be bad news

If i'm flying solo i use a variety of vehicles to spice it up a bit because it gets boring fast, it would be nice to have the option to change before the mission starts.

I unfortunately don't trust people in public missions. I know for a fact that I can pass it myself. Too manh times other players grab the item we need only to somehow destroy it.

Sorry. Not taking chances. I've also seen people crash into building with the chopper on RR.

Very rarely does anyone get a chopper. I've called it a few times but the twat always gets blocked by the power line and can't find the intelligence to go round it. One time, someone had ordered a chopper when I had picked up the package. Instead of waiting, i jumped in this guys Cheetah and he drove me there and half way there, the guy said "yo guys, get in my chopper" not even realising we were long gone and then complained that he wasted $1000.

Also last week, I was doing it with 2 random kids who joined and as I went to kill the guys and get the documents, they were just pissing about and firing shots at me. Clearly being no help, I took the documents and got in my newly acquired Dominator (no bullet proof tyres as of yet, just performance mods) and started to drive to the drop. They chased me in their Adders and shot my tyres out and as I got out my undrivable car to get another, he ran me over killing and took the documents and just drove around the city. Its annoying you can't kick people like this. I just left after 30 seconds to a minute.

Yeah, I use my BF Surfer to deliver the documents. You want to fight about it? It's slow as f*ck, yeah. But I deliver documents in style.

the two times i have seen the chopper spawned by someone in that mission, i have got to Madrazo's house before them(entity), it really aint that much faster using a chopper, i just hate the people who start shooting straight away, then your man pegs it away in his car, before you know it you have 3 randoms shooting at his car with AP pistols

So it's not one that spawns as part of the mission? Seems a waste of $1,000 to call one in.

Nah, its seperate. When I tried it, it took about 1/5th off my time and 1/18th off my money earnt so statistically, it works out more $ per second/minute if you are farming it.

I've only done it a few times because the pilot has the navigation skills of a pebble and always gets 'stuck' in the air. Its also quite risky because in the time it takes to shoot the pilot, pull him out and take off, the god damn Granger with enemies is on you and when i've done it, I either die or get away with 10-20% health left.
