Who else make their Turismo R looks like Ferrari?

I don't own a Turismo, but I have a Stinger and I use the RGB for Rosso Corsa for the true Ferrari red finish.

Which Stinger?

 

The Stinger GT was based primarily on a car that the vast majority of were painted Rosso Cina, not Rosso Corsa.

 

I don't know the stats or color choices for the regular Stinger's inspiration (I didn't research it yet since I don't have one).

I've been reading car magazines every month since 1985, but I'm supposed to just take the word of some random text on an Internet forum that says "I know cars" and change my opinion based on that? Again, I say ROFLMAO (you weren't worth writing it out for a second time).

I've seen the LaFerrari. I've seen the P1. I see more similarities with the LaFerrari than with the P1, including the overall basic body. Plus the fact that it's a Grotti, which is a parody of Ferrari.

All in all, I think this description of the Turismo's styling at GTA.wikia.com sums it up quite nicely:

The Turismo R is made up of many sharp curves and edges, giving it an aggressive appearance. This design is heavily inspired by LaFerrari featuring its front bumper and greenhouse area as well as being a hybrid electric supercar. The front lip of the car is inspired by the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento (or the Aventador) and it lightly has a resemblence to the Arash AF8 with headlights that are derived from the GTA Spano. The rear area is somewhat based on the LaFerrari (with a similar glass engine cover formation), although the two taillights are similar to those on the McLaren F1 and shares a slight resemblance to the Faralli & Mazzanti Evantra. The rear also bears some references to the Marussia B2, McLaren P1 and Corvette C7 accents. All in all, the Turismo R is heavily based on LaFerrari with some elements of the McLaren P1 and other cars. Because of its extremely streamlined and low down body, cars may drive up the hood as if it was a ramp on head on collisions.

But you go on and see what you want to see, meanwhile I'll just keep seeing what is.

Just because its Grotti doesn't say much...The Warrener is mainly classic Skyline, and its a Vulcar. Did I ask you to change your opinion? No, I stated mine. And I don't really care how long you've been reading car magazines every month, because all this comes down to is these 2 cars and how you see it. The fact that you are 'Rolling on the floor laughing your ass off' about someone opinion either means you are way to full of yourself to accept what anyone says if it doesn't agree with you, or you're just very immature. Either way, please, think about how silly your posts are before you post them. Your 'I win because I've read more magazines and your opinion doesn't matter' attitude doesn't look all that good.You're right, you didn't ask me to change my opinion. You asked me to change my knowledge. You asked me to do that when you pointed at the post above yours and said it was right. The post you pointed at was a statement of fact that the Turismo is primarily a McLaren, and by saying that was right, you were implicitly making your own statement of fact that the Turismo is primarily a McLaren. By making a statement of fact that contradicts what I've said, you're telling me I'm wrong, which means you're telling me to change my knowledge.

 

The bit about the magazines was meant to give some credibility to my position. You've offered no credibility for your own position. All you've done is say "I know cars", whereas what I've done is say "I know cars, and here's part of how I know what I know". That's gives me much more credibility than you, because I've got something to back up my claim of knowledge.

 

In the end, though, amount of credibility is a side matter, and one I put in as a joke to show how how funny I thought your "yes, I know cars" statement was. You don't need any experience in knowing cars at all to see the truth. Anyone with working eyes and a brain can look at photos of the Turismo, P1, and LaFerrari and see that the Turismo is based more on the LaFerrari with some cues from the P1.

 

What you and the other P1 believers have done is see one area of the Turismo that resembles the P1 and gone straight to "Turismo is a P1". Then you ignore all the similarities to the LaFerrari, you ignore the fact that there are more similarities to the LaFerrari, and stick to your jumped-to conclusion, just so you don't have to be wrong. That doesn't change the fact that that's what you are: wrong. The Turismo is based primarily on the LaFerrari, that's plain to see, it's not an opinion, it's just a simple fact.

 

If you can't understand that, that's fine. Don't bother arguing; you're not going to change what I know, you're not going to change reality. And I know I'm not going to change what you erroneously believe. So move on.

After seeing a LaFerrari in person and close up, I have to say they did a poor job on this ugly pos. The T20 parodied the P1 almost perfect. This compared to the LaFerrari though? Kind of a fail. Nothing about it feels special not to mention the front of it is diabolically ugly. The handling is meh and the sound is dull.

Yes I did do just that, and I'll tell you why. The T20 coming out made absolutely no difference to the appearance of the Turismo R. What that means is that the T20 did not make the Turismo R look any more or less like the LaFerrari than it already did. At least, not in any objective way. But subjectively, now that there's a car more similar to the P1 than the Turismo R, even though the Turismo R's appearance didn't change it should be easier for people to see now that the Turismo R is not based on the P1.

 

The logic may be a bit convoluted, but it holds up.

 

Or perhaps the real reason I brought up an old thread is because it was once a hotly contested issue, and I knew I was right all along, and I finally got the opportunity to say "I told you so".

 

I have never denied, though, that the Turismo R has certain elements that bear a degree of similarity to certain elements of the P1. But that's just how GTA cars work. They take the overall shape of one car and incorporate details from other generations of the same model, or competitive models. The Turismo R is more loosely based on the LaFerrari than some other GTA cars; the T20 is probably one example. The T20 probably more closely resembles a McLaren P1 than the Turismo R does the LaFerrari.

Ferrari has had multiple shades of red. Rosso corsa is slightly different even between modern f1's, and it has been very different during the years. Road cars have also had their vast share of different shades, soi there actually isn't a "Ferrari red".

I like the Turismo R, but I think Rockstar did a lazy job trying to imitate the exotic look of the LaFerrari. The T20 however was more faithful to it's source material. The Osiris did a good job imitating the LaFerrari"s front fascia, and the Huayra's overall look IMO. Not a huge fan of Hypercars, but I like how each Hyper are balanced in GTA V. I don't get how Rockstar calls them "Supers" though.

I second that. The GTA Spano front does not fit the overall profile of the LaFerrari.

Ferrari has had multiple shades of red. Rosso corsa is slightly different even between modern f1's, and it has been very different during the years. From my post that you quoted, it should be quite evident that I'm already aware that Ferrari has multiple shades of red. I mentioned two of them, Rosso Corsa and Ross Cina, in what you quoted from me. Did you suppose I would mention two different Ferrari red colors by name without realizing they have more than one red?

 

I have discussed in many posts here at GTA Forums how Ferrari has multiple shades of red, and how even the exact shade of any particular name has changed over time.

 

There is actually one color, though, that is called Ferrari Red. Officially, it's Rosso Dino, but unofficially, it's known as Ferrari Red. Compared to Rosso Corso, it's slightly more orange.

 

Before you try to tell me any more about Ferrari colors, let's check your qualifications first: What is the official color of Ferrari?

Excellent! Although it wasn't you I was testing, I'm curious to know if you learned that from the several times I've mentioned it previously here, or if you learned it some other way? It's not exactly easy information to learn; Ferrari doesn't just say so on their website. Some people had to actually go the factory and ask them to find out...

I f*ckin love the 458. Almost f*ckin died when I saw a 458 Spider, Speciale and Italia lined up in front of a restaurant two weeks ago. I will miss the 458. The 488 sounds German. The exhaust lacks what made Ferraris sound great for years.
