I occasionally tried to order a custom license plate from the IFruit app, and I just realized that they work like website usernames. It kept saying that the license plate I chose was already in use. I though that meant that my cars already had it, but someone else had made the license plate that I tried to make, before me.

 

That only took 5 months. That's such a stupid rule.

I personally like the idea of having a unique license plate - happy with the one I chose. They made it pretty clear when they launched the iFruit app that the plates were going to be unique.

I've been putting orders in for plates one after another occasionally over the last week; all of them were taken..they weren't the most original so I wasn't surprised, so I'll keep trying.

 

I already had one, and got it reset over on the rockstar support forum; because I didn't like it..since than I've been trying to get a new one through.

Yeah, Rockstar really dropped the ball on custom plates (like they did with everything else GTAVO related). What was the biggest insult about how they did them was that they took MONTHS to release iFruit crap app for Android, thus buttf*cking every Android user.

Luckily, through Charles or through save editing you can put whatever you want on your plate. If you need any help with that and are on PS3 then send me a PM, I'll be happy to help you out.

legally you can't, but you can using the save editor, and doing SPMP glitch...

It was definitely a dick move to release it only on the iPhone at first, I have an iPhone so I'm set but Android (and PC's) should have gotten it at the same time, fair is fair (or not in this case).

 

That said I approve of them being exclusive to the first person who asks for it, the only thing unfair about it was the combination of the iPhone only release with the glitches and network errors the app suffered, people were getting through at random. I also can't say it was very well advertised, I was reading all about the game in the days leading up to the release and I never heard about the iFruit app until after it had already been out for a number of hours, it's all down to luck that I got the plate I wanted at all (LUCIUS).

I got SWOOSH so am happy with that - but agree they should have released it on Android as well - or just had a web-based version that was open to everyone.

 

No idea why they didn't do that.
