Outfits now working, just FYI.

I know the option was there when the patch dropped but the outfits themselves weren't, seems to have been updated now. Just in-case anyone wasn't aware.

Some quite sweet combos in there. :)

Made a thread on this ages ago. No one replied to it. So, thanks for bringing to light what was left in the dark.

Noticed something interesting about the outfits... In my experiences, the cost of the entire outfit is more than if you would just buy all of the parts separately...

I tried this earlier with the female "Networker" outfit:

Cost - $3729

What it includes and their prices bought separately:

White & Black Tux - $1250

White Suit (Pants) - $400

Red Crush Platforms - $950

Silver Deco Earrings - $125

Black Slim Glasses - $400

Red Camisole - $265

Total - $3390 ($339 less)

I also noticed that, as you buy pieces of the outfit, the price of the total outfit goes down... I bought all of the pieces above, except the Silver Deco Earrings ($125) and the price of the outfit at that point was $137... $12 more than just buying the earrings.

Here's the catch: Even if you own all of the "pieces," you still won't own the "outfit." Sometimes, the menu will have the icon as if you own it, other times, there will be a price of $100. These "outfits" actually do pop up in your inventory at home as complete outfits... So long as you purchase the "outfit."

In other words, if you own all of the pieces of the outfit, but don't actually buy it as an outfit, you'll have to piece it together yourself in your apartment or the clothing store. If you buy it as an outfit, it's available to be put on all at once, with one button tap.

Now, I haven't tried every combination or every outfit, but I'm finding that that cheapest way to get the outfits, while still having them count as outfits is to buy each piece separately, leaving any one piece unpurchased. Can be a hat, glasses, doesn't matter, just piece the outfit together, leaving one thing unpurchased, as I did with the earrings in the example above. At that point, the price of the "outfit" will be slightly higher than the cost of the item you didn't purchase. Again, using my example above, the outfit cost $137, while the earrings I hadn't purchased cost $125... So, a $12 difference. Once you get to that point, then purchase it as an outfit. You'll get the final piece that you didn't buy included in your inventory, while not having to pay the extra $100 for it to be recognized as an "outfit."

TL:DR version:

Female "Networker" outfit costs $3729 if you by it as an outfit.

The pieces of that outfit, bought separately, cost $3390 ($339 less). Unfortunately, you also have to pay an extra $100 to have it recognized a an outfit, so $3490 total... Still a savings of $239.

Buying all of the pieces, except one (in my case, the earrings), I paid $3265, then paid $137 for the outfit, for a total of $3402... $327 less than the initial price and $88 less than had I bought all of the pieces, then paid an extra $100 to have it recognized as an outfit. Not an enormous savings, by any means, but there are 42 "outfits" available to females at this point... Can save a couple thousand dollars if you're planning to buy everything anyway.

Again, just sharing my findings... Not guaranteeing that it works that way with every outfit, but with the ones I tried, it seems to.

It's kind of cute .. in a weird way .. that R* is picking out (suggesting of course) clothes for us to wear, d'aww.

Let's be honest though, some of you dress in such a ridiculous manner. Who am I kidding though? It makes this game more entertaining.
