Now that us PS3 users have been able to join the party and have a day to play with these new toys (and now that it's out in general), I was curious about community response regarding the 4 new vehicles. So I put together a short series of questions just to get an idea of what everyone thinks.

 

A similar thread was created days ago prior to release (hopefully I didn't skip over a recent one - apologies if I did), wanted to put my own spin on it.

It's definitely annoying but at least there's some new toys, clothes and a bevy of patch notes. It's a bitter-sweet update IMO.

Turismo is that car for me. I want it and I want to like it however it's virtual zero ground-clearance is a serious issue for me and I don't want to find out how badly that may affect gameplay for me.

 

Alpha is a treat too.

I bought the turismo right out the gate an I agree that it's too low with gets frustrating when a curb puts a halt to any getaway I might've had in other super cars but other than that the handling is fun since it's a bit slick and easy to slide out the rear on corners.

Love the new special carbine but the pistol is kinda redundant in free aim lobbies since auto weapons rule the streets.

As for how I feel about the dlc as a whole? Cool stuff it's free and adds enough to keep me interested for another few days.

i got the jester its simply a nice car and that backpanel make me feel safer!

 

was going for the turismo but its pretty much a cheetah with a different name and i hate the cheetah.

 

i completely forgot about the plane, would test it tomorrow.

 

to make room for the car i had to choose between the Ratloader, Sabre and the Sentinel...

 

Ratloader paid the ultimate price.

I've found my garage to have more Pegassi products so I opted to keep my Infernus.

It comes down to looks, first, as I already have cars that fit my wants and needs in sports and super.

 

The Jester looks good as long as you don't go crazy with all the awful visual nonsense. I own this.

 

The Turismo looks ridiculous. I understand this is what modern supercars look like, now, and its a shame. The Cheetah, Easymode XF and Turismo are the worst offenders in overwrought designs. Not interested.

 

The Alpha could've been a contender on looks. I love the modern Caddilac "Art and Science" design. Unfortunatly, the Alpha just looks like a box with a too long hood. I wanted to llike it, but cannot. Its worse than the Turismo. Maybe if it was a 4 door sedan it might be better, but it just seems to blend into the too big pack of sports cars as it is.

I got the Jester and Turismo. It was hard to make room for them. I have no interest in the Alpha.

Alpha is awesome.

 

Slap some classic rod wheels on and paint it black, all we need now is a siren then it's a 2 seated Special Police Unit Vehicle (SPUV?)

The Jester is by a wide margin my favorite. Great looks and performance in its class. Lots of mods, a homerun. Replaced my Banshee for it.

 

Turismo was very disappointing, Poor performance unless you have to stop fast to open your garage, looks like a superhero car from a Tim Burton movie and has no secondary color options!

 

Alpha, classy but boring, slow, understeer rivaling my Hotknife. - Only got it because after I sell it, it will end up being about a $200k lease and I can get my Manana Coupe back for free from Franklin's Garage.

 

Plane, why? buy a Luxur or a Mallard or dont buy a plane.

 

If the Jester wasn't such a big hit I'd be disappointed in the DLC,

This is a valid point, my well planned escapes have already been foiled by many a curb. For some reason travelling at high speeds and hitting a curb causes the camera to spaz out like it wasn't expecting the sudden stop.. believe me, neither was I

Can't say I tested it out in Online but it was definitely a serious problem in SP. It would definitely take a punch to the throttle to be going at a decent speed before curbs weren't too much of an issue. If it does that in Online at high speeds count me out.

 

I can only imagine what Down the Drain is like for this car lol.

I let my friends buy the cars and I raced them last night. I like the Turismo's looks but I'm not willing to part with my entity just yet. I decided to just keep the 1mil I made this week.

I'm debating on the Vestra myself, it's surprisingly fun in SP - very agile and requires such a short distance for take off. Been looking for a plane, this may be it - or the Mallard, not sure which .. (both? nah).

I like the Turismo's handling. it feels more familiar to forza than any other car in the game.

I bought and am a bit disappointed in the Vestra. It's so expensive, only seats 2, and might be too much plane for me. As a pilot, I really... REALLY suck.

 

So... maybe I should rephrase;

 

"I bought and am a bit disappointed in the way the Vestra highlights my lack of flying ability." I do wish you could choose colors, I always seem to get the dumb white/red combo.

Not a huge fan of the mallard, only seats 1. If you're interested in a prop plane for short landings and takeoffs I'd recommend the Cuban 800 or the single prop plane I forget it's name but it's fairly expensive. The engine is more durable though.

 

I'm a big fan of flying and I personally would like to get the vestra.

I was going to skip the plane...since I already have the luxury jets on each of my characters.

 

But it looks fast like the stunt planes...but more attractive in design.

 

I think I may purchase it later.
