universetwisters
I never moisturize my face after I shave. I kinda like the tingly feel. It feels rewarding to me.
na89340qv0n34b09q340
I also bought a safety razor because of the thread. Mine came a couple weeks ago. It's a lot more fun to use, but that might just be the novelty of a new purchase. It also seems to get a closer shave, but I've been replacing the blade bi-weekly, and with the cartridge I only had like five blades and they were expensive, so I replaced them monthly. Shaving with any form of razor is VERY hard for me, as I have acne-prone skin. Acne and razors DO NOT mix at all. I disagree. The razor almost works as a whitehead removal tool. It's like shaving my terrible memories from middle school away! 'course you end up bleeding and your face ends up all scarred, but you have to make sacrifices to be happy. gtamann123
I don't shave often. Like once a month. But when I do I just use an electric razor

If you want to go all retro then get a decent brush and some old school shaving foam I would have, but that stupid Art Of Manliness website came up as one of the first results when I was reading up on safety razors, and they recommended it as the only genuine way to shave with a safety razor, and I wouldn't be able to help but think of myself as a hipster if I did the whole shebang. e: Not that I think of anyone else who does it that way automatically as one. Besides, I've been getting a clean shave with hot water and bar soap, and I can do it right after I shower in the morning. K20
got the Edwin jagger razor... used it over the weekend for the first time. definitely much better then normal plastic razor [Gillette fusion]. I have thick hairs and the plastic type pulled the hairs and was painful to shave. this wasn't at all. very smooth and definitely a close shave. I got a few cuts but this is due to moving at speed, which I managed to get right at the end. because I was going fast I had to go over twice to get all the hairs. will keep using. very nice indeed. RAS_ZeroZ
It does take me about 4 or 5 minutes more to achieve a great shave with the safety razor...but that's for a great shave. But if I'm in a hurry I can remove my beard it in the same time as using a cartridge razor with okay results. It's a wash IMHO. I'm at the point in my life where that 4 or 5 extra minutes is well spent and I enjoy it And the price is sooooooo much better than cartridge razors... I decided recently to just put in a new blade every time I shave which is about 2 - 4 times a week. I don't even worry about what each blade costs because it's so small.
