New blip system in deathmatch

Has anyone noticed it?When someone appears on the screen,whether he is close or not his blip appears and this makes the deathmatch a crazy noob fight.everyone sees each other and kill easily.I didn't understand,what's the point here..Anyone knows?And I could find yet a response to this on Rockstar Support

It's in the patch notes.

Players or AI in your line of sight now show their blips.

Sort of like hey I see you.

what a bullsh*t.it doesnt make a deathmatch equal or realistic.Not also in real life we see all objects in our sight.it should not show blip of each player in my sight.Let me find them if you want a real deathmatch..My character looks to left but I can see a player's blip who is on the right .I wonder whose idea it is..In small maps,everyone is visible on the radar during whole game.I sent a request on support site,hopefully they will give a reponse and remove this sh*t.

They better have removed the flashing screen or a lot of people still will not play it

play free aim lobbies, issue isn't so big when they can't auto aim. On another note, no they haven't taken away the bull shark screen visuals gotten with kill and losing streaks... It's really not that bad... I have no problem fighting threw it at least... Edited by Sushi__Wolf

Just one more reason why I won't ever go over 1 hour of total in-game deathmatch time, even though I have nearly 500 hours into this game in total.

It's shameful production has decided to homogenize DM I suppose it's lack of popularity factored into the decision but I'd have rather see FM buffed then this.

Indeed. This makes deathmatches a lot less about tactics and more "who shot first", as if it wasn't already enough.

Shame, I needed to LSPD skin my AP Pistol, it was the last one...not happening anymore.

This is the 1st time I genuinely say R* f*cked it up: people already whore Lester's ability to death, so rather than take that out, you implement a similar freebie in?
Goddamn you. Totally staying away from auto-aim now.

I haven't played a DM since Monday so am I to understand your blip on the radar is also now proximity sensitive to the enemy?

 

I.E. if you're close no matter what you're taking cover with, your height, whatever, your blip will appear on their map?

i think it's an excellent addition. now you whiners can play the DEATHMATCH properly as what it's supposed to be, which is a deathmatch. the whole point is to run around and kill as many people as you can as fast as you can. shame there's no option for headshot-only or to make all players visible for the duration of the entire match. this way you corner-humpers would quit wasting time camping and then referring to it as a "tactic". learn how to roll and score headshots. it isn't hard. i almost never hit the cover button in any deathmatch and almost always come in first place.

i was a death match freak in IV, thats all i did back then.

 

then gtao came with a ridiculous death match mode. battling zones are too small, no blips options(on/off/far/close) then we have the flashing screens...

 

i can deal with blips but i cant play with a screen flashing, impairing my eyes, leaving me close to a seizure!

but it used to be like that in IV and everybody was happy back then...

 

blips were visible 90% of the death matches

to each his own. i disagree completely however. freemode is too big of a map and you spawn too far and the respawning takes longer than in deathmatch for you to state that that's where i should be fighting the way i do. not worth it. people go in passive mode, they drive away, people in tanks come and ruin everything, etc. if you want uncertainty then use a suppressor and don't sprint. it helps.

I played Deathmatches because they're more strategic than LTS where the blips are visible all the time (In a strategic mode - stupid)

 

Now they messed both modes up. I won't whine because I just stop playing these Modes. Back in GTA 4 you couldn't fly above the highest building and it was fine.

 

Back there you couldn't modify cars and it was fine.

 

But if you now reduce flight height and remove modifications we would cry really :D

 

DM was better, now it's gay, you don't need a player to check your back because you have a FLASH that helps you with it. They fixed something not broken

The blip system was screwed from the start anyway.

 

Phone --> Lester --> Show all player blips

 

It shouldn't be a minute, 10 seconds max.

That is not neccessary anymore

It should be a minute but also get a cooldown of 5 minutes

the whole blip systems broke, DM or freemode. another thread discussed how to possibly fix since it seems they took all that was good in IV, got rid of it and added a few new features. possibly something like this for V would have worked:

Same problem in missions when its one team against another. Last night I did a mission where you collect the brief cases and take them back to your base.

 

But the mission was useless as the other team simply looked in the direction of the spawn point which reveals you straight away. You cant see them but they just kill you before you can even move. I was killed 9 times before I could actually move.

 

Bye Bye K/D Ratio. Not that these mater as most are now fake anyway.

I'm already free aim deathmatcher . I've never played auto-aim,believe me this problem ruins the DM both in free and auto.I played a custom DM last night(for review,check out my signature). Maybe the only thing that I love in this game is free deathmatches,I want to play it hardcore but this system doesn't allow.Now I'm going to check my request out if there is an answer ..

I don't know for who you are saying this but I didn't see any players like this in my deathmatch carrier(my stats say I've played 32h48mins deathmatches,since a deathmatch takes about 15-20 mins,calculate it.)or maybe 2-3 person I met like this.We play this mode like a team play in which everyone must stay alive be careful,not to go direct to enemies like Counter-Strike and that makes a DM logical,strategic fight

Wow, a lot of snipers in this thread who are sad they don't have infinity time to set up a shot anymore.

 

Anyway, this change is useful because you can know whether or not the person you can see at a distance is part of your team or not.

played a few last night. i got creamed in a couple which is fairly unusual, don't know if it's related - but i barely noticed a difference, don't tend look at the hud map much in a other than to co-ordinate with my team sometimes and figure out where i've spawned if it's not clear.
