Is the Dinka Jester actually worth it?

I got one and like it. Race wise it is pretty quick, and is between the Banshee and Elegy for handling (meaning it's more forgiving in races than the Banshee, but not as user friendly as the Elegy). I like the looks, and it's a good performer. I've done two Sports races today with it and already won one, a 16 car race, with it (the second race I came in 3rd out of 16). So, yeah, it's a good buy in my opinion.

i think its the most worth while out of all of them tbh, it has the most body mods its price isnt much, to me sounds better then the others, thats why i got it over the rest. Like others said they are free in singleplayer if you go to your garages might aswell try it out there first.

It's great totally worth it.. "I liked it so much I bought the company". Maybe not. But, I may get a second one, do something different with it styling wise.

 

Update: I did buy another. One is dark blue no clip on goodies. The other is white and red with all the clip on goodies. Have fun!!

Yeah, and I did a race with no slipstream or catch up, and I smoked a Jester in my Elegy RH8. That is driving preference! When somebody is good and likes the wobbely handling of the Carbo, he will probably win.

 

Elegy RH8 is beter handlingwise, because it can take sharper corners at more speed. The only problem are its brakes. I gonna test today if the brakes of the Jester are beter.

I agree. I just did one up in single player and I was impressed by how many color coded/carbon options there is. It is also very fast. Might trade my rapid GT for it or possible grind missions and sell my comet

I was traversing mountains last night with it and I'm pretty sure it's AWD, it has the same kind of acceleration as my infernus when on the side of a mountain. If you've kept up with Broughy's videos (

) you'll have seen his most recent one talking up how important AWD is (

I just did a round of Long Haul 2 - me and two other guys in Jesters versus a 9F, Carbo and a Coquette. Halfway round the Jesters were 40 seconds ahead

Yeah, I would have to recommend it as "worth it".

Oh please, really? No evidence? I smoked an Adder with a Ratloader once! See... that's how that sounds. Also if you really did beat a faster car then congratz, you either race better than the other guy, or the other guy just sucks or he was unlucky.

 

I have enough evidence to prove the Carbo > Jester, go to the game, tune both to the max in SP and look at their stats.

 

You can't take full car stats from sp and say they are the same in mp. All cars are nerfed in mp. Look at your top speed stats max around 160 give or take about 10mph. And that is perfectly straight on a flat road without ever bumping the steering ever till you reach max speed.

Races aren't run on paper.

The Elegy is free and statistically it's won the most races.

I actually found that the Jester was a little more nimbler than the Elegy. Maybe it's me though, I spend sooooooooo much time in muscle cars I think i have the knack for proper braking down pat right now and rarely spin out in anything.

Based on customization options, it's arguably the best car from this DLC. $240k really isn't that expensive. Sell one of the cars in your garage that you never drive.

It's similar to the RH8 in performance and what's available for customization (in the effect that it's very easy to make it ugly - less is more here).

 

Considering the price of this car is essentially in the Super category, it had better bring with it a catalogue of features. I'd say it delivers across the board and is worth every cent.

 

A huge perk here is that it's AWD in the sense that the Infernus is AWD (not exactly noticeable) but it is very much able to stay where you put it, is easily correctable and will transfer power to the front wheels when necessary as it's predominately concentrated in the rear. It's not difficult to keep this car grounded at high speeds when twists and turns come your way.

^ This. Not as agile as the Coquette, but infinitely more stable and even more well-balanced. It takes genuine effort to upset this car because it just grips and goes. Brakes are a tad lax, so you have to brake early, but you can handbrake with absolute precision (unlike the Carbo or the Comet). The car is downright tiny and extremely short. So short, in fact, that you can't fully crouch behind it. As such, it provides horrible, horrible cover in a firefight.

 

$240k isn't bad, but it'll cost you another $300k to fully mod one...

The stats actually do lie, but that's not the point here. The Elegy is far and away the best Sports car for non-highway tracks. That didn't change with the new DLC, but so far the Jester seems to be the second best.

Maybe, at least for me, the Coquette's handling feels better, the traction feels much better and it stabilize quickly when using the hand brake.

But on acceleration it's better, again, try it out and compare, it's your opinion.

no offense, but why?? how do you justify using up all that garage space on 3 Jesters and 2 Turismos(not to mention spending that much money [roughly 1.7 million$])? I get the different paintjobs/customizations but you could just change it up every now and again no?
