GratuitousViolets Posted March 5, 2014 Share Posted March 5, 2014 Normally I do missions in normal mode, but tonight I was bored and decided to tackle a mission in hard mode with a promise of a better payout as 1.5x RP and cash which I'm assuming is supposed to be a sweetener to entice people to play in harder mode. Now, I played in easy mode, I played in normal mode. Same exact mission...so question is...why is the mission payout on HARD the same as it is on easy? I'm sitting there as I've just completed the mission rubbing my hands together thinking I'm going to make some better bank. I don't think I even broke even on what I spent in ammo, armor and provisions for healing which were necessary to complete the mission. Also noted someone told me the Violent Duct mission was supposed to yield something like $5000-$9000 but again, all I'm coming out with is $1500... Is this a BUG or is this just seriously the way the missions have been set so that the pay out is barely enough to cover the cost of completion? Just totally baffling me. If one is lagging there may be an error (R* are known for these). As for Violent duct your friend is a little behind. The payout was nerffed to £3000 initial payout a few months ago due to farming. The payout your getting is the repeat payment (1/2 initial payment. Coveted, Pot Shot, et al are exceptions). What was the mission you were playing? Doesn't give me the angle to get 'em all. Second try I nearly did it other than accidentally destroying the container. WHOOPS. There's a RP & Payout pinned topic that shows all the pay on "Hard" and some show the real stuff while others yield more than what it shows (probably needs updating?). So far, all missions I do are on Hard and are always a good pay (except Simeon who's a cheap prick). Doing it on Hard, you get one life for everyone and enemies are tougher and can shoot real good (even from afar). So I suggest doing missions on Hard whenever you can (usually better with friends), even if the pay for you is the same as Normal or Easy. The RP gain is worth it. I never tried on normal. As for my rank, I'm I think either 46 or 48. I'm not logged in at the moment so I'm not 100 but I'm in the later 40s I think. It really doesn't have much consequence to me what rank I am, the missions aren't harder or easier regardless really. It's not like I strive for Rank 70 because I'll be much buffer and more invulnerable to certain damage outside of the car. Regardless of rank, I am noob, hear me scream and run for cover So I haven't seen Rooftop Rumble yet (which I heard is in a higher rank bracket). I mean don't get me wrong it's pretty easy but coveted is a lot easier and you only get 750 dollars less. Coveted takes me 4 mins and it gives you 18k too... A lot of us do coveted, crystal clearout 3, roof top and usually a personal favourite(s) (mine are Satellite Communications and The LS Connection).
