2 nights ago i found out about this exploit and tried it out... Fun times, till someone else did it and killed me lol.

 

Let R* know about this and just activate passive mode prior to entering your garage or apartment, its free anyway. Or you might get gunned down by an asshole like me

Hey man, if that's how you want to play your game, that's fine. But when I get dragged into it, then that's a different story. I did report them, and hope something happens.

I usually keep passive mode on because i'm only ever in free roam for short amounts of time because I usually grind missions most of the day to get some cash. Doing that paid off because otherwise I would've met a fate similar to yours.

This is the thread of the month for me. Don't mind me, I find humor in this but can understand the frustration. GTA Oline has turned into "Who can I harass with glitches"

So tell the story of what happened. I mean did you just join game, and get into your garage and they were there? I wonder if they were just waiting..which would make sense and why they have guns drawn out.

 

See, what I usually do is farm missions. Took a brief brake while finding a new session. I usually stay in passive mode because I stay in free roam briefly, usually. This time however I spawned into my garage with passive mode on and all of a sudden they appear within seconds of each other flickering like when you first come out of a LSC after tuning a car which I assume is very brief invincibility frames. Then they pulled out their guns, tried shooting me, failed and then went on to shoot all over my garage with anything ranging from a handgun to rpgs/grendelaunchers/miniguns for whatever reason. A few threw sticky bombs, you saw the result of that.

 

The glitch I just watched requires the OWNER of the garage to do this. Maybe it's a combination of th glitch where sometimes people end up in your garage for a split second.

 

 

 

I swear to you I did nothing. I spawned into the session in my garage and they appeared like I stated.

If I remember correctly, on the map it showed the majority of the blips near the eclipse towers, which is where my place is.

 

Oh sorry, I didnt mean to come off as not trusting your story..Im just saying the video I seen shows the owner has to do it and then they invite people over. You can even kill people in your apartment. SO having said that, they might have done that then used a glitch to get inside your garage

Just saw a video where you don't need to invite people, whoever's in that session that uses that garage can be shot.

That's okay there friend. Well like I said, i'm pretty sure the majority of the players were near the eclipse towers if I remember correctly, so it had to be someone else. I just joined into it. At least if anything, your cars don't appear to them. They'd probably get insta-bad sport, but it might glitch your cars so you can't get them back since usually they can't be destroyed in your garage.

have been trying to get back into garage tank by doing the crew member / garage door glitch and the weapns in garage glitch. not happening. perhaps patched in 1.11? anybody can confirm or is it perhaps because of the two new cars in the garage right near the entrance?

It don't matter where u live in game all garages are in the same place. Under weazel plaza. So by the glitchers doing the glitch they aren't necessarily in your garage just s garage. This is why this works. They don't see your cars so they can't destroy them

It happened to me yesterday. I had just transfered over from invite only with a bounty. Was guna have some escape fun. However, while chilling in my garage thinking I'm safe for a bit tryin to load my piece...when pew, pew, some douche pasted me...wtf??

 

He didn't get the bounty but it forced me out to the waiting wolves and I was capped before I could do anything.

deserved what? OP didn't get killed, no cars got damaged, in fact the only one dying seems to be one of the 'invaders'. And they got publicly outed for being pussy cheaters. I think he handled himself quite well.
