I have a problem with the mechanic since the last 2 weeks he doesn't deliver my cars he always says he can't he is busy. Okay I think this is because I didn't pay him last time I got the money and "pay" him. But since that time I didn't pay him he never delivers me cars, any suggestions?

Make sure you actually have a car in the garage, not one that is destroyed or impounded.

The game automatically takes his daily fee out for you so I don't know what your talking about with that.

This is happening to my son as well. (He went broke after the purge and didn't pay his bills), I researched this earlier and was told to stay in a free roam lobby for an hour until I get the message that the mechanic has been paid and it'll work, I didn't have time to test.

Im currently having this issue with my two characters on my main account. Just before the DLC they both went absolutely skint and both missed their payments. I have waited in free roam for more than 3 hours at a time and still no payment was taken. At that point I decided to get into a bit of a war 1 v 6. I blew many a car up that day and became skint again. 5 mins before I was due to log off payment was attempted to be taken and I missed it again.

 

As far as I can figure out - Payment is taken on a weekly basis and not a daily basis. So payment could be taken anywhere between 48 mins and 5 and a half hours. whilst you are in free roam. I have also noticed that payments are never taken during missions / races etc. So if you go into missions etc I think that the timer (much like the bounty timer) is paused until you go back into free roam.

 

Luckily I have a second account with a third character on at level 83 which im using more than the other two at level 138+

 

This is the first time that it has happened to me. I do not intend on it happening again. I think the mechanics behind the process is seriously flawed. If you miss a payment it should attempt it again 10 mins (in game time) later. Being left in poleto bay with no car is a pain in the ass
