I trust you, but that's very surprising about the Bifta, previous record was at 26.680 ! You're almost 1 sec faster, which is a lot and would put the Bifta in 1st place.

I know. I was shocked by it also. But my friend who was racing with me also had a bifta and he beat the time previously set. I think he got about 26:000.

First Post UPdated with the new results.

Tested some fully modded cars on your track. I did the track 4 times with each car and have posted the best times below.

I was pretty amazed that I actually had more than 0.3 seconds difference between the best and worst time in some vehicles.

9F Cabrio: 23.622

Rapid GT: 23.425

Z Type: 24.517

Gauntlet: 25.192

Exemplar: 25.494

Sanchez: 25.924

Same thing, can you confirm that you didn't use the turbo at the start ?

No turbo, did it the same way you did.

- For bikes, I didn't use the left joystick to gain speed (not pushing it or pulling it), no wheelie, no tucking.

MOTORBIKES :

Akuma - 23.238 *

Bati 801 - 24.348 *

Double-T - 24.643 *

Nemesis - 25.681 *

Sanchez - 25.924 *

Bagger - 29.494 *

Not leaning forward on a bike is just plain stupid. Its not cheating, its just how the bike works. So these times are all off.

Hmmmm.. not really.

It's not really about cheating or about the optimal time we can get with bikes, it's about measuring the bike's potential without any intervention of the driver to not "corrupt" it.

I mean if someone start leaning forward and slightly go off the road and start zig zaging (not sure if we say that) for example. Or some bikes may be affected more by this, tucking, either positively or negatively than other bikes.

I did the same yesterday, and i have some different results. ( probably because i've been driving without the boost start & because my race slightly longer with 1080 meters.

SPORTS:

01. Carbonizzare = 26,599 sec

02. Obey 9F = 26,870 sec

03. Rapid GT = 27,077 sec

04. Jester = 27,604 sec

05. Comet = 27,752 sec

06. Coquette = 27,770 sec

07. Elegy RH8 = 27,968 sec

08. Feltzer = 28,010 sec

09. Alpha = 28,083 sec

10. Banshee = 28,282 sec

11. Fusilade = 28,753 sec

12. Sultan = 30,234 sec

SUPERSPORTS:

01. Entity XF = 26,291 sec

02. Turismo R = 26,434 sec

03. Adder = 26,568 sec

04. Infernus = 26,699 sec

05. Voltic = 26,953 sec

06. Cheetah = 27,013 sec

07. Vacca = 27,783 sec

08. Bullet = 27,883 sec

It is funny how the sports car Carbonizzare beats both supersport Pegassis, Vacca & Infernus ( and Grottis supersport, the Cheetah ) - i wonder how the Massacro & Zentorno are gonna perform.

The tests here are done without the boost start as well.

And so your race is 8+% longer... I'm surprised the times are 1 sec off for some cars and a bit mixed, just for 8%.

The test only shows acceleration. Not speed, the cars also only get to 3ed gear most if the time. Fully modded the buccaneers the fastest drag muscle

I don't think the level of armor influences it anyway..

But what do you call a Baller sport ? Baller 1 (old design) or Baller 2 (modern design) ?

Yes you can do the tests on this race [ LINK ]

Of course it shows acceleration, it's a drag race. Top speed is only valable for long runs or long races with very long straight roads. Most of races, especially technical ones don't have straight roads over 1000m, which is already long.

And most (not all) cars gets to their last gear before the end of the race...

Interesting thread. Whilst I don't personally consider a drag race to be relevant to racing since most races actually have corners that's not to say it's not interesting nevertheless. You should put a link to my videos for those who want to know which cars are the best around an actual circuit ;) Nice work, I can appreciate how long this takes (although your method of doing it reduces the time significantly over what I did haha).

I think the intention of this map was to offer concrete data to show performance of different kinds of cars rather than showing how they race, but I understand what you're saying.

I think if we have a Nurburgring style map to test a vehicle's ultimate performance out it'd show more accurate racing results.

Hey everybody !

So ! Ever wondered which car was the quickest ? In each class ?

For science :p I tested every available stock cars for racing on a 1000m Drag Race (this race -PS3- you can download it if you wish), as well as the custom cars I had in my garages.

It doesn't test which has the highest top speed, or which handles the better, but which ones are the quickest on this distance. 1000 meters = 0.62 Miles

Unless you're travelling or racing on the freeway, you will rarely encounter straight roads longer than 1000m, in general.

Conditions of the tests :

- Solo race, Traffic off, Catch-up off, Slipstream off (lol just in case), midday, clear weather.

- "Full throttle start", that means no "turbo start". Strictly pushing R2 from the countdown to the finish line.

If I used the boost at the start, if wouldn't make the following result viable in any circumstances and game modes.

- For bikes, I didn't use the left joystick to gain speed (not pushing it or pulling it), no wheelie, no tucking.

Let's not waste time and jump to the results.

Some, may surprise you...

Z-Type – 27.318

JB700 – 29.022

Stinger – 29.616

Zion XS - 29.260 *

Cognoscenti Cabrio – 29.410

Jackal – 29.722

Felon GT – 29.784

Sentinel – 30.744

NOTE : No surprise here, the Exemplar is the fastest, but on a straight line the F620 and the Oracle 2 can keep up with it.

The Sentinel might be good looking but it's clearly the slowest...

MOTORBIKES :

 Akuma – 25.522

NOTE : So, is the Akuma overpowered ? Being nearly 2 sec faster than any bikes on a 1000m run...

Also, who thought the Sanchez would be as fast as a Bati 801 ?

And yes, the Blazer is here cause it's available as a "bike".

Landstalker – 33.372

Beejay XL – 33.968

Seminole – 34.172

Crusader – 34.392

Mesa – 34.976

NOTE : Lot of choices in the SUV category, but for racing, not so many. The Baller 2 is the fastest no matter what and can easily be a rival to some fully upgraded SUVs.

The gap between it and the other cars is once again near 2 sec for the Radius, and around 2.7 sec for the rest.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Share your tought about it !

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now what I would really like to do is build a complete list of fully upgraded cars ! But for this,

I need your help !

Clearly I can not buy or steal every single car possible, upgrade them and test them, but together we can :)

All you have to do is :

- Check the vehicles that are marked as Missing on the list down below.

- If you own one of these vehicles, it must be Fully Upgraded it's important

- You can add the 1000m Drag Race (PS3) to your game

(NOTE: I'm sorry, it is not advertising but for the result to be viable, it must be the same exact track for every single cars. I didn't spend several hours doing the tests and writing this thread just to adverstise a drag race...)

If you are on Xbox, you can add this race to perform the tests http://socialclub.ro...lw?platformId=1

- Race by yourself in the same exact strict conditions (see the first part of this thread, "full throttle start" and no whelling or "tucking" (laying down on the bike) etc..) once or twice to get the best time.

- Don't cheat ! It's not about who is or what car is the fastest...

- Come back here and share your time so I can add it to the list ! And together we will build it.

If you are whiling to particpate please let me know here, the most cars we will have registered the better we will know them. :)

Nurburgring would be a nice idea but too long for most drivers to be able to give consistent lap times. I did

on Cutting Coroners as it has a pretty damn good mix of all corner types and serves as a good, repeatable, reference to most tracks on GTA.

I know what you're saying though about this thread. It certainly works in testing how cars perform across a 1000m drag strip with no turbo boost and no wheelie-ing for bikes etc, but beyond that we can't really draw any reasonable conclusions about anything else (mainly because races have corners, racers get turbo boosts, and a wheelie-ing bike is always faster than a non-wheeling one). Still they are interesting results and it's surprising to see how some of the lists come out.
