The Rising Hype of Heists (and Not Giving a Damn)

Through the release of GTA Online to the present, heists have been probably the most anticipated thing coming to this game. The more time that passes the more hyped it becomes; but it also becomes annoying, the waiting around for something that may or may not be fun (even though it will probably be the most fun thing about this game). People, including my friends have lost faith in Rockstar. They think (and I quote) "that R* is going to bend us all over and f*ck us with these heists." Most players know that the heists in the story mode payed out at least $1,000,000 each heist. What will be payed for our efforts? Many people, including myself, have speculated that we will probably only get maybe $100,000 - $200,000. This is less than half of the story mode payouts. Now, given the fact that there will most likely be eight total players conducting a heist together, I would image that it would be pretty hard to complete them; so, who knows, maybe we will get the original story mode payout. That would definitely be ideal...

 

Since R* has taken so much time to make these heists, they will probably be really fun. They might be so fun that they could be worth losing a good chunk of a cool million bucks. Either way, heists will be here soon. The wait is almost over. With the random person sitting in your apartment typing on your computer it is pretty obvious that heists could be coming in the next title update for Grand Theft Auto 5. Only time will tell.

Again I can wait. For me there are plenty of other things to do in GTAO to keep me occupied for many many hours to come.

They will be just like missions, BUT they could do something, the heists would pay a lot as expected, like let's say 100k, 150k, but they could be ultra hard.

You have to take in mind the replay factor, if people play it multiple times then the payouts are gonna be low. I would suggest a high payout for the 1st time doing it and maybe $10000 for every time after the first you do it, same with RP.

Though I did discuss when the heists may be arriving, I would like you to notice that I am only wondering, stimulating my curiosity. This earth was built off of curiosity, my friend. You need to accept that. I agree with you, they will come out when they come out.

It isn't that bad, they didn't deliver on their heists release date. So what, GTA V was pushed another 6 or 7 months after the expected release, and they still delivered an excellent game. This happens in the gaming industry time and time again. I will wait on heists because I have faith in Rockstar.

I can wait--------as I didn't buy a game because a corporation said they would give me Heists.

Nor did I buy a game strictly for content not available on the $60 disc.

Don't really care, people are way over-hyping them in the first place. It's just going to be like any other mission.

90% of the missions are already heists anyway. 'Steal this and bring it back here'.

Obviously the actual heist missions will play out differently, but half of it's just going to a waste of time, heists are going to pay 50K apparently, but I imagine that you'll be able to complete Rooftop Rumble 5 times by the time you complete a heist (especially if they play out like Single Player), not to mention you're going to need Job Points.

Ran out of f*cks to give. If they come out, meh, if they don't, meh. At this point GTAO is only here to tide me over till ESO comes out at the end of the month and then I'll be gone lol.

 

But I'll definitely pop back in a few months or so to see what's what. As to whether heists come out by then, I've already got other stuff I'm way more excited about. The hype is well and truly gone for me.

There's gotta be newer items for heists to be more effective. Just thought I would throw that out there. These little packs are cool and all but we as consumers want more substance.. Just with patch update 1.11 it was 94 MB (PS3) and all it had was items for all we know. The promise of heists was mentioned last year before the game was even outI'm just wondering if they are in over their heads.. We are some greedy ungrateful motherf*ckers, but we did pay $1 billion+ dollars and seeing less than what we paid for, if you ask me.

I was never hyped. I love R* but they made some stupid moves lately. Heists may end up being lame... or not. Only time will tell.

I voted for both of the first two options because I'm psyched for heists and tired of waiting but it's still a good game and I can wait as long as I need to, I just wish I had some general idea of how long a wait it's going to be.

If you guys have watched the leaked heist video in that one bank you'll realize that heists are gonna suck, basically just retrieving an object and slaughtering cops
