I am brand new to GTA Online (and GTA 5). What are somethings I should do first online and single player?

Play single player to the end to get accustomed to the controls ect...then enter online in a solo session until your ready...

You should probably drive around a bit and check out some of the cars in singleplayer Then to a few sp missions.

GTA online I'd just go do a couple of missions, afford a livable garage or living space, and carry out whatever from there, you can access and host missions from your phone.

 

In GTA 5 I'd recommend doing most of the story later after you get used to the mechanics and have a bit of fun, there's a decent amount of side missions as well.

In all seriousness, Your first goal is getting a Garage, Then fill it with an entity and another car of your choice, continue to level up and gain more money. Once you have enough for a 10 car garage purchase one. Once you have that you can then squander you money on clothes, guns and attachments, extra cars etc. But if anything head towards getting yourself that 10 car garage but first a cheap garage to start with.

 

400k is what a 10 car garage is worth (just giving you a bit of forsight)

If a white dot comes towards you, kill that fool.

If you see any kind of chrome vehicle (unless it's my chrome Faggio lol), unleash hell upon it.

Avoid the LSC in Vinewood as you never know when those pesky snipers are about.

If you get a bounty put on you, it'll be open season on your hide wherever you go.

Don't trust Lester. He really is creepy !!!

When playing Online and you see someone speeding really fast toward you, find some cover fast. Aim for the head.

Make sure you befriend all the strippers..just isolate your microphone and blow on it lightly...it turns them on.

Or talk dirty, its up to you! Just don't join my session if your chat is open.
