What the Albany Alpha reminds me of

So I just purchased the Albany Alpha, and when I first took a good look at it, it reminded me of this:

 

 

To me, the Alpha looks like a modernized version of the vehicle in the picture. Good old F-Zero GX. Ahh...the memories...

Can't help but chuckle at the thought of a "modernized" version of a futuristic hovering race car space ship thing. But yeah, guess I can kinda see whatcha mean. Loving the Alpha much more than I expected!
