R* description of the business update is off.

 

Enjoy the perks of rising through the ranks of your Los Santos and Blaine County business ventures with The Business Update.

 

Thing is we don't have any business ventures so how can we rise through the ranks of them? We can't buy any businesses like we can in single player so why do they add that to the description.

 

Not acceptable at all R*.

Taking bounties, doing missions all could accurately be called business ventures. They never said there would be buyable businessess that was YOUR ASSUMPTION, don't hate rockstar because they didn't include a feature YOU said they would.

Once again, I will repeat what I said in another thread for the ignorant. Rockstar's PR department is not into giving hints for fools to read between the lines. Just because they used a few keywords and you assumed it meant what you wanted it to mean, means you're an idiot for assuming. With every update they've been very clear about what you were gonna receive. They haven't said you'd get a specific weapon and you didn't get it. They haven't hinted at something inconspicuously and then surprised you with it. Stop entertaining what you think they said and read their Newswire updates for what they actually say.

They originally called it the Dangerous Business pack, then just the business update. They are such an incompetent and disrespectful dev team to their player-base. These rinse and repeat DLC's are getting old quick. Back to doing the same sh*t for that last 6 months...but with NEW GUNS AND CARS. Well woopity-doo!!

You make things up that they didn't say and its Rockstars fault? Get your head out of your own ass. At no point did they hever say there would be buyable businesses. You and others like you made that up on your own.

 

The only incompetence is yours. Oh and how much did you pay for the DLC? zero dollars. It was free so you have no right to complain that the free content didn't include stuff they never actually said would be in there.

I made no assumptions, there was no business update though; just items added for purchase "arguably business, but nothing new."

Queue sales is a business arguments..

It was just an addition to the total item catalogue, no new business elements have been introduced; be it of the criminal or legal type. ..don't pay attention to hostile opinions OP, they are rather ignorant and close minded. I don't necessarily agree with your interpretations of rockstar's description, it was mostly alluding to aspects of game play that are already in the game; but the title of the update was poorly chosen in my honest opinion. I appreciate what's in the dlc though, its just more of the same.

 

Business is an applicable term though so it works well enough, going to the wash room is considered business; almost anything is business on a level of expression.

Now OP get down to business!

So, in GTA:Online, those business ventures would be drugs, weapons and cars. A business venture does not necessarily mean "own a business"....then there's the "Enjoy the perks" part that all the complainers fail to read. This just means that you get to enjoy owning nicer clothes and cars as you make money by rising through the ranks of a criminal (that's why you get more difficult and well paying missions..), or, you know....THE PERKS.

There is definately an ambiguity here with the wording...given they released the business dlc and specifically mentioned 'business ventures' did give me hope that there might have been some additional mini game content in addition to the guns, clothes and vehicles but sadly not.

 

Not complaining as the new stuff is great but some other timesink to level up would have been nice.

Wow...the immature responses of some people never cease to amaze me on these forums. Only on a gta forum do you meet such people. It's my OPINION that rockstar shouldn't have said things the way they said them. They know damn good and well that people are really wanting these things, yet they continue to put in cars and weapons to soothe the easily amused crowd. Those of us that actually want new things to do had every right to expect them to put some new gameplay content into GTAO. It's been 6 months and still no new gameplay content.

 

New businesses you can own and earn a profit from is what SHOULD have been in this DLC if Rockstar had any idea how to run an online game. The gaming companies that are veterans at online gaming know this and always put out new gameplay content. That's what keeps people coming and playing the game. The few of you that are cool with that being called DLC...well you don't matter. What matters is the vast majority of people that will not be playing this game much longer(and the tons that have already quit). Rockstar has a lot to learn about online gaming, and the number one thing they need to learn is that new gameplay content is how you keep a game going for years online and keep the player base at a high level.

 

Those of you that disagree just don't get it. You can call me names all you want, and say that I'm "incompetent" and spew your garbage...it doesn't matter. Those of us calling for more gameplay content are right and you're wrong. The amount of players still playing this game has decreased a huge amount. It's easy to see that, especially if you are in huge clans like me. I see 90% of the tons of guys I played with are done with this game and have been for awhile. Most gamers aren't going to stick around because they got a new car. lol New gameplay content is a MASSIVE DEAL when it comes to sustaining a large playerbase for years, which is what Rockstar said they want to do....they are failing at that and you're hatred towards me doesn't change the truth.
