I wonder what the Flight School missions will be about..

Will it be the same as flight lessons to improve flying ststs for F, T & M?

F the Flight School. I hate that sh*t, I've still nightmares from the stupid schools in GTA: San Andreas!

You probably just sucked at it.

Flight School was insanely easy in San Andreas & V as well.

The only reason for postponing flight school in SA was to hear Toreno's brand of pep talks & threaten Carl that Sweet would get the better end of 8 kilometers of wang courtesy of "Horse Cock" Harry if CJ didn't cooperate.

God I remember that ;P what happened to all the good quotes in today's games?

They died right next to innovation & getting a decent cast. It's all about the Benjamins now.

Part of what makes those quotes so memorable to me were due to the all-star cast R* used to unite; James Woods as Toreno was a master stroke. Guys like Tom Sizemore, Michael Madsen, Ray Liotta, Dennis Hopper..Hell, even Jenna Jameson as Candy Suxxx was a good call.

Ray Liotta was great as Tommy Vercetti.

Indeed. I never swallowed R*'s excuse for not hiring known names for their GTA games anymore: "We want people to identify the character & the story, not the actor behind the character."

Bullsh*t. I've never heard anyone say that Tommy Vercetti was ruined for them from the get-go because all they heard was Ray Liotta. He pulled off a great character while giving it his personal touch, and that's what any good actor is supposed to do; give a performance that makes the audience forget who the person behind it all is. Sam Jackson, Woods, Rapaport, Madsen, Hopper, Penn...all these guys gave great characters.

The real reason R* stopped hiring AAA talent & went with relatively unknown names is the same reason we got such a less memorable soundtrack this time around in V: Money.

Some of the soundtrack I'm really surprised they went with, bands like wavves for example I definitely never expected to hear in a game let alone hosting a radio station for it.

You're probably right about them trying to save money but you also have to take into consideration maybe they did bring in some more well known voice actors but they just didn't hit it right with the characters they had.

Maybe...it's a definite possibility.

Although, I don't see how that translates to "no more big names". Less AAA guys/gals, yeah, I could go with, but IMO I think they just wanted to cut the costs.

And so far, it hasn't backfired. Robert Bogue is no James Woods, but he did what he could.

The radio however....I just can't believe they would cut down like that. Some bands I never knew are great (Wavves, Feathers, Owiny Sigoma Band), but most of them fail to deliver like VC(S) or SA ever did. III was more memorable. I truly feel this time they just slacked on the radio and put all their eggs on the graphics & map size basket.

Yeah I do think it's a surprise there wasn't really a single big name at all in this game as opposed to the others.

No argument there the radio in this game pales in comparison to SA/VC especially when compared to VC. I do think they did a good job of including some artists that most people might not know but for some reason this game's soundtrack gets extremely repetitive quickly for me and just boring, where as I never had that feeling towards the previous titles soundtracks.

May be because the Radio is not dynamic in a lot of stations anymore in V.

I can definitely say that East Los FM, Space FM & Worldwide FM are one single .aud file, kinda like The Beat 102.7 was in IV...and they seem to resume play at a certain time point every time you re-join a lobby.

RLS, RMP, VBR, LSRR and RR are more dynamic, but it seems the game loves to select certain tracks more than others (my copy loves playing "Crawling After You", Rick James & Kendrick Lamar [seriously R*, RLS is RKL] every 10 minutes). while completely ignoring other songs (A$AP Rocky, Eddie Murphy, Dr. Dre, Wham!)... So I don't blame you for feeling tired of the playlist err, radio.

Probably the fact that most radio stations play similar music doesn't help neither.

It's amazing that the aleatory playback in SA is better than any GTA yet & that despite the bigger budget, they can't top any Vice City (or VC Stories) station atmosphere.

I know what you mean, everyone wants to hear "party all the time" as much as possible.

And yeah I do hope they will add some more music into the game, it's very possible to do if they wanted to put in the time and effort so we'll see. It does seem they are listening to players lately and adding things so can always hope.

Hell yeah, I could listen to 80's Murphy all day. If they ever added "Raw" or "Delirious" into WCTR or TV, I'd never leave my apartment for quite a while.

Seeing as how they did add more music for EFLC I imagine they'll do the same for V.

I know it would be too expensive to licence recent tracks by popular artists, but luckily what most people seem to ask (or demand) are genres that aren't necessarily made by big names who'll want big royalties.

A Heavy Metal station (regardless of sub-genre) can be made with relatively low costs. For example, I can't imagine many signed/indie Bay Area bands demanding too much cash and risk the massive publicity V will get them.

An increase in electronic sub-genres for Soulwax or FlyLo isn't that expensive either (compared to getting licenses for new or popular Hip-Hop or Pop songs).

We'll see....

Lethal Vaccine

I believe someone did something with the game files and found out the Zentorno is a Super Car, the Massacro is a Sports Car, and the Huntley is an SUV. It's surely gonna be released and I believe sometime in March, but I am not positive...

They left the car mods in the update, and left info in the website files. Pics of some of the car mods, and info. According to the website files, they were supposed to be apart of the Business DLC.

Wouldn't the memorability of a soundtrack depend on your perception of it? To me, a soundtrack is memorable if you like the songs on it, like Vice City's soundtrack. People say San Andreas' soundtrack was memorable, but it wasn't for me because I didn't like most of the music.

Glad to know it's gonna be free, I was worried it was gonna be paid. What a relief. I wonder what day of the month they'll release it?

Well, all the content we have for gta v so far has been free... so it's good to know that R* is making more free content for us all.

We've been good little consumers and we made them very rich. And now they are making free things for us in return. So cute of them. <3

I don't see why they can't make unlimited assassination missions, not pre-scripted ones. There's an assassination mod I made for IV that simply picks a random target in the city, and you have kill them with a specific weapon. Would be so much fun for V, but knowing R* it's probably just 4 more scripted missions. And flight school is just same sh*t, different day.

Amen. That's also the reason why I miss Vigilante mode and I think it was stupid of them to remove it. Unlimited, random missions - even small ones - are part of what makes free roam survive for so long. Killing and escaping are only fun for a limited time.

I wonder what R* will do with the flight school. I love flying and currently have all golds for each character. However, the cars sound great and I'm looking forward to drive them.

Oh wow, more delayed sh*t from R*. This time, it's not even remotely exciting. Just a couple of *drive here and kill person* missions and some pointless flight lessons.

I think Flight School missions make sense. Everyone says planes are useless for the most part, so why not have something to do with them?

How does Flight School make sense? Almost everybody I know has a solid grasp on how to take off, land, and fly planes. You don't need some fancy school just to learn how to do barrel rolls and flips.

It's called thinking outside of the box. Not all of it has to be about barrel rolls and flips. There are many possibilities.

If the Rockstar would include a gun range for Buzzard/Lazer, I would be grateful.

What other moves are there to master? And even then, why not opt for learning them on your own so you can develop a unique twist to it, rather than following a linear set of instructions on how to pull it off?
