GratuitousViolets
I unlike some have no quarrel with the fact race payouts were changed a bit following the patches. However the way things are calculated confuse me (this isn't a complaint, I'm just curious). I play solo to get used to the tracks and try out different cars and the payout from the same race can change drastically with no explanation to how it's calculated. I mean at one point I play on a motorcycle and get a fast finish and win barely $500 but I race a Sedan next and take forever to finish and win $1200 which is baffling. Surely the faster win would have been the higher payout? How is it worked out? What factors are important to get the best payouts? Is is just random? RavingWithJesus
I think it depends on how many laps you do and how close you are to the "world record" or whatever. I'm not 100% sure on this either… (solo racing) Edited March 4, 2014 by ajdude1
2Chains4Bracelets
I think the most vital factors are length of race, and amount of opponents. When they'd said they'd made length of race a bigger factor in race payouts (I can't remember which update this was), I'm pretty sure they were referring to distance you drove. You might want to look at patch notes from like 3 patches ago.
GratuitousViolets
Ah that at least makes a bit of sense I think. However with some races it doesn't. Maybe there's scoring based on skill of the driving perhaps, who knows. It's unpredictable to me lol
Malibu454
It has to do with the time Over 3min Over 5min Test it out When racing solo go to finish line and wait till After 5min then cross line Also with more players the payout is bigger Edited March 4, 2014 by Malibu454
deffjeff87
Its the amount of Checkpoints, Distance, Lap & Whole Time spent racing, And amount of players Custom Races always earn more $$$/RP then R* Verified and R* Verified earns more than R* Created races The $$$ timer stops at 4 minutes after that it goes by distance Try to have 4-8 players for a good amount of $$$/RP Also Slip streaming, Overtakes(Clean earns more than aggressive) earn you extra RP that isnt added to the total On my races that i make that can be finished in about 5:20 for 2 laps. If I run it solo i make a little bit over $3,000 but the more i add it multiplies by the number of people so 4 racers- 1st place will win at least $9,000 Always race custom try to stay away from R* Created races cause you get ripped off This might also help you out check out this thread it has a $$$/RP breakdown of races, missions, etc http://gtaforums.com/topic/614195-job-reward-database-rp-cash/
Hodgey.
I've believe that it goes off of the race distance, time it takes to complete and the number of racers.
