Nope, actually did just the opposite. I saved up alot of money for this and was really hyped. I checked everything out but havent bought a single item yet. LOL! I dont wanna clutter up my inventory with 1000 of masks...

I wanna know if the weapons are dropable? The Gusenberg wasnt (even its gone now anyway). But since these are supposed to stay maybe they are dropable.

Did you buy the outfits from the clothing store clerk yet? They're made out of items that can be purchased separately, but look good and are convenient. Walk up to her to access outfits.

As for me, the only thing I don't have yet is the plane. Grinding missions to make cash for it. I was at 2.3m yesterday. Dropped down to 90k from all I spent. Grinded back a fair amount so far.

Ah that's cool, I didn't feel like buying all the crap separately, especially since I'll probably wear them like once and they're non premium, I'm definitely gonna do that now.

Personally I got the Turismo & Jester, the plane, guns, and all the masks (I couldn't help it, they're all great)

Tabula Rasa

No, I got all the clothes and masks though, and "ouftits" possibly.. as well, if they consist of the items I already bought that is; got the guns too, but I'm not a big fan of the new cars, however I will be getting that Vestra. I am considering the Turismo, and Jester..It'll be awhile before I really make a decision on on any of the cars; I can afford it all though.

Buy? LOL. I brought the cars in from SP, and since they fixed the vehicle sale prices, I glitched some extra cash for the rest of the junk.

Outfits?

Oh my, I apologize for such a late reply. Yes, walk up to the store clerk, and the option to buy outfits should pop up prompting you to hit -> on the d pad like usual.

I don't know if it works in both versions of clothing stores, however. I was able to do it in the high-end rich man's version that has all of the suits and whatnot on display when you first come into the store.

You should know what I mean.

Weapons are can be dropped by holding L1 and hitting triangle(Y) over the weapon you wish to drop. The tommy gun I assume will show up back in our inventories when rockstar sorts it out.

You should consider getting the Turismo. Go on single player and fully upgrade it then take it down some real

windy roads with lots of twists. It sticks to the road for the most part extremely well. It handles extremely well through sharp corners and maintaining speed, its also very light it is great for jumps. 10/10. Glad I traded my Cheetah for The Turismo.

I bought all the clothes for both characters. I'm still questioning whether the Turismo is worth it or not.

Jester and Turismo (with full upgrades), Plane, Guns (with upgrades), all the new clothes, and all the new masks (the save mask issue was only there until I rebooted my XBox, and then the masks were all in my inventory). I think when all was said and done this update costed me about 2.5 million and left me broke. Did a bit of farming today, and tried out the new races so now I'm back up to just under 400 grand.

Almost. Bought all suits and ties, all glasses and watches, bought all vehicles, both weapons.

Didn't get jet yet and bought only a couple masks.

For the most part, I played around and did some math comparing the "outfits" to buying each piece separately... Funny thing is, they're cheaper if you buy the pieces separate... The catch is, if you do that, you don't get it as an "outfit"... Meaning, you'd have to piece it together every time until you actually bought it as an outfit.

I made a post about this in another thread and think I've found the best way to get the outfits cheaper than their "listed" prices, while still getting them to count as "outfits." Hopefully, this makes sense:

Noticed something interesting about the outfits... In my experiences, the cost of the entire outfit is more than if you would just buy all of the parts separately...

I tried this earlier with the female "Networker" outfit:

Cost - $3729

What it includes and their prices bought separately:

White & Black Tux - $1250

White Suit (Pants) - $400

Red Crush Platforms - $950

Silver Deco Earrings - $125

Black Slim Glasses - $400

Red Camisole - $265

Total - $3390 ($339 less)

I also noticed that, as you buy pieces of the outfit, the price of the total outfit goes down... I bought all of the pieces above, except the Silver Deco Earrings ($125) and the price of the outfit at that point was $137... $12 more than just buying the earrings.

Here's the catch: Even if you own all of the "pieces," you still won't own the "outfit." Sometimes, the menu will have the icon as if you own it, other times, there will be a price of $100. These "outfits" actually do pop up in your inventory at home as complete outfits... So long as you purchase the "outfit."

In other words, if you own all of the pieces of the outfit, but don't actually buy it as an outfit, you'll have to piece it together yourself in your apartment or the clothing store. If you buy it as an outfit, it's available to be put on all at once, with one button tap.

Now, I haven't tried every combination or every outfit, but I'm finding that that cheapest way to get the outfits, while still having them count as outfits is to buy each piece separately, leaving any one piece unpurchased. Can be a hat, glasses, doesn't matter, just piece the outfit together, leaving one thing unpurchased, as I did with the earrings in the example above. At that point, the price of the "outfit" will be slightly higher than the cost of the item you didn't purchase. Again, using my example above, the outfit cost $137, while the earrings I hadn't purchased cost $125... So, a $12 difference. Once you get to that point, then purchase it as an outfit. You'll get the final piece that you didn't buy included in your inventory, while not having to pay the extra $100 for it to be recognized as an "outfit."

TL:DR version:

Female "Networker" outfit costs $3729 if you by it as an outfit.

The pieces of that outfit, bought separately, cost $3390 ($339 less). Unfortunately, you also have to pay an extra $100 to have it recognized a an outfit, so $3490 total... Still a savings of $239.

Buying all of the pieces, except one (in my case, the earrings), I paid $3265, then paid $137 for the outfit, for a total of $3402... $327 less than the initial price and $88 less than had I bought all of the pieces, then paid an extra $100 to have it recognized as an outfit. Not an enormous savings, by any means, but there are 42 "outfits" available to females at this point... Can save a couple thousand dollars if you're planning to buy everything anyway.

Again, just sharing my findings... Not guaranteeing that it works that way with every outfit, but with the ones I tried, it seems to.

-Bill

Most of my trials was with my female character, but I assume things are similar for male characters.

Tali vas Normandy

I have not bought any clothes, the alpha or the plane.

I haven't bought clothes as I like my VDM clothing better.

I not buy the alpha due to garage space lacking.

I also find the plane worthless to me.

I bought the Turismo, Jester, and a few clothes.

I don't buy something just because it's new. I hesitate about the Vestra. I still don't know if we can use it in races, and if we have to buy it for that.

Vstra is good fun when flying in free room too.

It is fast and it can make acrobatics like Mallard. Nice combination at all...

Bought the Turismo, fully modded it plus the weapons. I plan on buying the Jester with my other character and I'll probably check out the new clothes too. Don't plan on buying the plane or the alpha, at least not anytime in the near future. Are these items like VDM? Are they a limited time deal?

Zoots Remuvah

Bought everything aside from the masks..

Sold the Alpha and traded it for a Jester.. Wise decision it seems.

As for the Turismo.. awesome!

Vestra is also pretty damn good... can be chucked around the sky with abandon and it's fast to boot.. I think it's my favourite plane now...

As for the clothes - makes a huge difference with female character now.. you can actually co-ordinate the skirts a lot better!

The advanced carbine is also a general asskicker.. used it a bit this morning on some one on ones and it was far more effective than the shotguns people were trying to pull on me.. better accuracy than the LMGs and four shot kills.. jobs a good 'un!

Not buying masks till issues are sorted though...
