My Only Issue With No Catchup, No Slipstream

not really. at the starting grid the people in the front wont be rammed from the back cause of slip stream, the people in the middle will still act like its a bumper car race, and the people in the back will just pass all the people who play bumper cars in the middle. my only concern would be that they need to have ppl know that this a race where they need skill and a good car.

I think the only issue people will really have with this is that not everyone will have a custom car for the races, stock cars won't be quite in the league of a customized one.

I say we let the game developers decide what stays and what goes and either we adapt or get fukced. Now I gotta sif through ...."Slipstream is needed!!" threads. lol.

OP is saying, if there are 10 people racing and the person up front and the person in the back both race perfect races using proper race lines, then the person in back has no chance of winning.

 

Also: RIP Vacca ....it's been a good run and we were able to hang with the douche cars by utilizing the slipstream when catch up was off, but now you just can't do it anymore. You're too lightweight and get thrown around by the bumpers and now have no chance to catch back up once you've been rammed a little bit.

I've always enjoyed close races over races wherein everyone is seperated by 6 seconds. I'm all for mechanics that make for more exciting races. I don't even care if I lose.

This will be interesting to say the least.

It's possible, but unlikely. I would actually prefer to start last in this situation as it would allow me to observe the initial pileup and avoid it.

I think it's a good and bad thing, I've always said slipstream was OP but I didn't want it removed entirely (or even the option), I just wanted the effect toned down. It's better not to have it at all than to have it be permanently on and too powerful, but I wish they'd just reduced the effect instead of this.

Definitely isn't ideal, but it's much better than the alternative. With slipstream, you could race perfectly and lose to someone who didn't race perfectly.

I like slipstream, not realistic, but a fun factor, don't think it routinely prevents good drivers from winning races as mistakes are still costly, but leads to more exciting races most of the time. Catchup I'm not a fan of.

So what? If you start second you have no chance either. What difference does it make? As if this game is full of people who actually are capable of driving perfectly. Joke of the year.

I think cutting the distance in half would have been the better fix.
