Does anyone else hate leaving the Eclipse Tower?

I always have a feeling that once I leave there will be someone outside waiting for me with a rocket launcher. I try to be in and out quick.

That's because in my experience there generally is somebody camping outside ready to destroy you and your car

 

Passive mode is free, I tend to enable passive mode, walk out, see what's going on around and if its clear head back in to pick my car up.

Either that or set your spawn point to "last" or "random" so you're already out in the city with your PV nearby...

Well I live in a warehouse at the docks (scene of the armoured van heist from SP) as it allows me to do the SP2MP glitch without interruption 95% of the time, and it's distance from the LSC is the perfect length for me to test the performance of any cars I bring in

 

Anyway back on topic.

 

As I don't live in there (nor have any intention of doing so) no it doesn't bother me at all. But I understand how problematic it is due to it having some 20 second long animation of you driving in/out, where your completely helpless to incoming fire

The FIRST time I joined a room where there was a war going on outside that property, I moved to the 10 car garage down by the airport and right next to the Los Santos Customs.... use your brain people... MOVE!!!

Del Perro Heights is a good place to go only cost $200,000 you get a 10 car garage and i have YET to be killed leaving or entering my garage.

 

But ever since they added the "Garage" spawn point i haven't even been in my apartment i wish they had just 10 car garages in the city instead of all the way by the airport

I like Tinsel a few blocks away far more. I lived at Eclipse here-and-there when I felt like a change of scene during the billionaire period, but never stayed.

I remember one time it was really crazy outside eclipse towers it was like WWII out there a tank and a bunch of other players.... At that moment I decided to move away from the lizard people and head to Blaine county, there may not be a 10 car garage out there but 6 slots was just enough and I've been out in Blaine county ever since... So peaceful out there

But unless you have a car outside somewhere your stranded usually (I'm always stuck on the airfeild due to my only death matches seeming to be that crappy seal map, and my cars on the opposite side of the runway)

I think it's safer actually if you have no car, because then you can pull out passive mode. If you leave with a car in your garage, that's when you're usually screwed.

I heard the horror stories about the Eclipse.I liked the view,was warned I would regret it,but figure oh well the price of doing business.

I've only had a few problems with it, to be honest. If I log in and hear explosions outside, I just turn on the TV and watch the carnage until it moves. I could move with the money I have, but I couldn't give up the view.

Just before you go out, pause game to bring up map, press x and theb I think you press select to 'change view' look for camping players outside before you drive out.

I recently drove out of my garage only to be blown up as soon as the door opened, oddly my character got out of the exploded vehicle and was perfectly fine, then my vehicle respawned (at no cost) across the street, so I ran over, got in and drove off.

 

The game engine is weird sometimes.

Still like the Eclipse apt. 40. Lived everywhere for a minute in the billionaires era, but I just love all the action in front of my garage.

 

Besides, you can see if there's trouble ahead if you enlarge the mini map before you leave your garage.

I now live in Del Perro Heights, Apt. 20.

it will show you if some one is standing right outside your garage.

 

not once have i been exploded on my way out.

Yeah... that's why I moved out, and live in Tinsel Towers. Eclipse is the most expensive building, so of course all the high rollers and swag-kids are gonna live there, and it attracts the most heat. I used to pull up to tanks, burnt cars, dead bodies, Police, and a Titan still on fire on top of Mike's house.
