What makes the Clean Rebel so different?

It's special because the government came in and repossessed all of the Clean Rebels.

They then redistributed them to the less fortunate.

Rebel will outrun and outclimb the SandQueen any day. Like others have said. The SandQueen's 10/90 power ratio is sh*t and hardly a 4WD.

SandKing XL is a more capable off road vehicle imo. Tough as nails, insane ground clearance that can literally just climb cars and drive over guardrails like they didnt exist.

But i love the clean rebel more. Just something about it.

ROFL

Your f*cking Plastiky fake Offroad Sandking can't do sh*te, Rebel is better and would climb mountains so much better than the Sandking it'd become a Rusty Rebel by the time the Sandking got up. Probably would have to be airlifted because they suck Offroad, Fake-ass truck.

Disregarding the trash talk, how's the Rebel's 4x4?

Vs the sandking which apparently has only 10/90

The sandking is better at 4x4ing and the power distribution would be closer to 30 front 70 rear.

The Rebel feels like 10 front 90 rear imo.

I've made it more places in my MW Mesa than I could with my rusty Rebel but it is faster on smooth slopes and flat racing.

The height of the Sandking is a huge bonus but it does have better 4wd.

I've tested all three mentioned vehicles numerous times, all fully upgraded, on all 5 of my offroad tracks (link in my sig). Try it yourself if you don't believe me.

I've managed incredible feats with The MW Mesa. I believe it out performs the SK and Rebel.

Its very close but the ground clearance of the Sandking gives it the edge. I can make it almost everywhere the Sandking can with my MW Mesa...almost.

The MW Mesa is more fun to drive though. I enjoy the challenge of picking the right line.

edit: I have found a couple of places MW Mesa can go the Sandking can't just because of the wide stance of the Sandking. They all have their pros and cons.

You got the ratios backwards.

The Sandking has literally NO traction on the front wheels. It is 10/90. Also, the MW Mesa has the same horrible power ratio plus its tendency to roll over all the time.

I did some research and testing on off-road vehicles, I think it was during 1.09? But from what I recall the sandking does in fact have a less capable awd system in it. This is not to say its worse though, the height advantage it has means water crossing and mounting boulders will be easier.

Another point is that after owning a dirty rebel for a while the suspension in it felt much stiffer, meaning less articulation when going over obstacles. Their overall size differences also mean each will get stuck easier in different situations. I eventually got rid of the rebel and replaced it with an swb because it has the height and articulation advantage but is shorter that the xl, so it wont be high-centered as easily.

Another note, if you arent concerned with ride height or obstacles, the dubsta offers full 50-50 awd.

Like I said, I've found a few obstacles in my trails that only the Sandking can make it over, regardless of power distribution it is the better 4x4.

If your on ps3 try my Tongva Trail. The final rock hill climb obstacle is easy in a fully upgraded Sandking and just barely possible in the Rebel.

I'm not going to argue though, use what you want.

Its that time of the day again!

Yes, that time where I point out how derailed a thread has become then refer to GTAForums.

Here we go:

Basic thread asking about what makes the clean Rebel heartwarming turns into Sandking vs. Rebel sh*tposting/flame fest.

Only found on GTAForums :D

Good point gear, I'm guilty.

Here goes my response to the OP's actual question:

People like the clean rebel because

1. it isn't dirty looking

2. you cant buy it (some people enjoy the hunt)

3. it does in fact have a different engine note

Clean rebel has zero mods though.

Some cars are better with little or no mods.

Reble is simple, nice to look at, and performs great.

The Surano i also prefer with no mods.

Ya, the trophy truck bodies leave something to be desired imo. I hate that the rust spots look glossy after painting the rusty Rebel a metallic color too.

I like the clean rebel because it's like the truck McFly had in back to the future.

Me too.

Sandking/Rebel/Sandking/Rebel... Blah blah blah. The Bodhi is actually far better than both of them in every way (except ground clearance on Sandking), it's just untrendy with you hipsters. Fact, check the stats, drive one, whatever. Also seats 4 and takes more abuse than any other car in the game.

It's an ancient Land Rover pick up. I don't like Range Rover pick ups.

Soran Is On

The only difference is the Clean to the Rusty was the mods (One looks like a show truck, other looks like a sand raider) The Sandking is now a 4x4 and that is why people liked the Rebel more it was quicker up mountains while the king would get stuck every once in a while. Now that its a 4x4 now people will want the Clean rebel because its rare.
