Pressing A for online when starting GTA causes Xbox to crash?

I just experienced this twice when trying to get to GTAO from pressing A when it prompts me to while starting up GTA. What happens to me is that when the game finishes loading, I appear in my apartment and either immediately or after a few seconds, my screen becomes completely filled with thin white/gray vertical lines.

 

Every time I have started Online this way before, I have never experienced this bug until just now. Is this a new bug with 1.11 or am I the only one?

 

Also, just to clarify, the third time I started the game on story first, then switched to a friends-only session and now I am playing just fine. Later I will try starting it up just as I did before to confirm whether or not the "bug" was just a random occurrence.
