Mak
I'm really looking forward to this one, i'll have to get an upgrade, seeing as i was amazed how my age old GT 220 was able to play Arkham Origins, honestly Arkham Origins was a good game, just sadly the assassin's concept just wasnt properly realized, was it just me or did no one axpect the joker to show up? Although i did stay away from the trailers and any info about the game, didn't even read a review.

IDredMan
I'm really looking forward to this one, i'll have to get an upgrade, seeing as i was amazed how my age old GT 220 was able to play Arkham Origins, honestly Arkham Origins was a good game, just sadly the assassin's concept just wasnt properly realized, was it just me or did no one axpect the joker to show up? Although i did stay away from the trailers and any info about the game, didn't even read a review. Arkham Origins is a very special and isolated case. Don't get me wrong, it's a good game. A 7.5/10 and maybe even an 8. But it had it's problems. For one, it was a 7.5/10 game ...That came as a prequel to two games that have only gotten 10/10s and have been repeatedly called the best games of the generation. And the fact that there's a lot of people who hate prequels with a passion didn't help either. It dummed down the AI, made the combat easier and destroyed the gadget continuity. And topped it off with a half assed slapped on multiplayer that was literally a ripoff of a Halo Custom Gametype. Didn't really sway this game's singleplayer-loving audience. And last, but not least ...The glitches. This game had a lot of glitches. I doubt anyone went through it without encountering a glitch. Anything could go wrong. The game would freeze. A cutscene wouldn't start. Crucial enemies wouldn't spawn. You wouldn't be able to climb in that one vent in the tower. Now, I never went for this so I'm going off other people's sayings. Apparently 100% is unattainable because they removed a suit. So that's that. Hope Arkham Knight avoids all of those mistakes.

Sure, Origins had its problems. - A lot of bugs and glitches at lauch. - Combat was a bit screwed up. - Collectibles were nonsensically hard to find. - Multiplayer achievements making things really annoying for people who wanted to platinum the game. But, there are also good things. - Best story of the series, at least in my opinion. - You could disable the counter icons from the get-go in both story and challenge mode, unlike Arkham City which screw this up for me. - The burnley tower glitche accidentally made one of the riddler's enigma incredibly awesome when you had to use some crazy workaround that exploited another glitch. Eurotrash
I really like how the redesigned the characters. Looks like they've given Batman a skinnier physique, similar to how he looks in the Justice League media. Despite the fact that he's wrapped in more armor than the presidential limo: Game looks pretty awesome, probably the only one I'll look forward to this year. Th3MaN1
They look more realistic. Not that they looked bad before, but they look closer to a real character rather than a fictional invention. Creepy music, M rating - that just shows that Rocksteady is more serious about this than ever. Edited February 25, 2015 by Th3MaN1

Frantz Fuchs
This looks better everytime I see it. Four months is too long. We could have had this game last October but nope. October was just a marketing strategy. There's no way a developer set a release date wrong by 8 months. Creates more hype if the game is coming soon. Rocksteady aren't to blame though I don't think, it's WB.
MikeyBelic
Never understood why so many people hate on games that have pre-ordering bonuses. So, you either pay 60 dollars for a game and not pre-order it and not get anything extra when you get your copy or you pre-order a game, spend 60 dollars for the game but then also get two bonus DLC packs at no extra charge. It doesn't make sense why you WOULDN'T pre-order the game. Yet, people still complain about so many games getting pre-order bonuses these days. Because these things tend to be sh*tty add-ons that should have, or more like WERE in the story from the beginning and just plucked out to make an extra few bucks. Creates more hype if the game is coming soon. Rocksteady aren't to blame though I don't think, it's WB. Could be either way. Maybe a mix of both, as with GTA V, which was announced both too early and then it was delayed for legit tech reasons. Arkham Knight is a big open world game on new systems and we all know from last year that without proper care those games crash and burn. So, either Arkham Knight was so broken not even suits at WB wanted to risk 2014 release, or Rocksteady have enough pull to convince them to release the game "when it's done". If it's the latter, then hat's off to them.
K^2
October was just a marketing strategy. There's no way a developer set a release date wrong by 8 months. You'd be surprised. But it is usually known that the date would be missed well in advance. Publishers tend to wait until the last moment to announce the new date to play on the pre-release hypte that tends to self-propagate. Making an announcement when everyone's hyped and ready for the game might seem cruel, but it gives them more publicity, which is all they really care about. Prior to filing a bug against any of my code, please consider this response to common concerns.

Alpha Demigod
I honestly don't like how we've had 4 games where Gotham is literally all goons. In Asylum it made sense, you're in an Asylum after all. But an Asylum should be insane people, not common street thugs. So having 10000s of street thugs to beat up in the asylum was a bit odd. In City it made the most sense, because you are in a massive superprison so a huge amount of endless goons is totally okay. In Origins it was tacky. Everyone is staying inside why? Christmas eve? Curfew? And now in Knight it's just ridiculous. I wish they would've leveraged the next-gen hardware to have a true city. With civilians and citizen vehicles in the city. The fact that we have a massive urban sprawl and the population is 100% gangsters is just too game-y. I want to actually feel like Batman, saving a city from crime. I want that city to feel like a real city and I actually want to see innocent humans to save...not an endless stream of thugs to beat up. NightmanCometh96
Pre-order on Steam is up. Looks like it's coming to Steam OS/Linux as well, I wasn't expecting that. http://store.steampowered.com/app/208650/ I gotta say I'm hyped; the Arkham series is probably my favorite franchise next to GTA (and yes, that means I did not hate Origins)

Well, in Origins the winter storm is the reason the city is filled with thugs. Kinda bullsh*t, but acceptable. And I suppose that you haven't watched the first trailer for the game, where it's clear that the civilians are escaping Gotham City. The only people who stay behind are the criminals, the GCPD and the motherf*cking Batman.
MikeyBelic
A few wouldn't be bad but yeah you couldn't really have a full living city. Gotham has always been set as a dark place in games, movies, books, comics and etc so we can't expect anything amazing nor should we as it may kill the atmosphere. A few every now and then would be cool, saving them from thugs and doing side missions for them etc.
Frantz Fuchs
A populated Gotham would completely ruin the gritty atmosphere of the games. Th3MaN1

You fight crime in a gigantic bat suit with an unreasonably designed car and villains that want to turn the city into a jungle. I think it's allowed to feel gamey. A small population might be okay, but I prefer how it is.
