wiizardii
I quite enjoyed Arkham Knight but for me, it was the weakest Batman game so far. Asylum was amazing, one of the greats of the last couple of generations. City was wonderful. Origins was a great game, I'd say equal to City. Knight, though, for me, was just a good game. Nothing special, but entertaining. It felt short, the reliance on the Batmobile was dull and the city was incredibly boring compared to previous Arkham games. I'd say it was a 7/10 at best. I really didn't appreciate the number of Riddler challenges and trophies either, that was just too much. But then, that's always been the way with this franchise, and has always been the low point for me. I disagree. Like I said, people look at this game a little too much like its suppossed to be the biggest game in the franchise or something, it shouldn't. It was gunna be the ending, and the ending only. Arkham Knight is a great ending, but it wasn't made to be great on its own. Riddler challenges are great, well challenges. It's always fun to have a good pick-up challenge like this in open world games.
yungsmokex
This is probably the only game I purchased this year that I wish I hadn't purchased until a price drop or full edition. I've purchased dying light btw. I give AK a 7. It's my first batman game and I can tell that it's a terrible starting point in the series. The story is decent (I love Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy and always have ever since youth) but painfully predictable. I shouldn't have to roll my eyes at what should be the biggest reveal of the game. Some of the batmobile is cool, but gtfoh with that tank. Never mind how repetitive that is, but honestly, I didn't picture myself in a tank for over half the game. I never pictured batman in a tank period but it's jammed into the game like it's one of batmans most famous activities. I find the combat to be satisfying yet frustrating but I don't fault the game for that. The 100% ending is unattainable without doing riddler challenges. I hate that. The way the game ends without it is simply ridiculous. Not to mention the story, the open world and the dlc (I have the season pass) are crumbs compared to the smorgasbord of content CD projekt red has charged me for. I can't get really immersed in Gotham because there's always a tiny radio in my head no matter where I am. And the city is empty! I know, the city is evacuated blah blah, but really there are no civilians so gamers won't complain about how undrivable the batmobile is after they powersilde into civilians nonstop. It seems like I have a bunch of complaints but I'm not one of those people who would give it anything under a 5. It is fun. Story is ok, punching thugs is fun...batman is awesome and it's awesome to be batman. I honestly don't understand all the praise. Fuzzknuckles
This is probably the only game I purchased this year that I wish I hadn't purchased until a price drop or full edition. This, basically. It's the first one I've bought on release since Asylum and was ultimately a disappointment. Good game, but not as good as its predecessors. Sure, it was meant to be the ending, but it was a really weak ending. Pretty much everything yungsmokex just said sums up my experience with it, pretty much exactly. yungsmokex and Dryspace 2 Signatures are dumb anyway. Th3MaN1
It's my first batman game You should probably correct that. it would be a sin not to play Asylum and City at least. I also recommend Origins even if it's considered to be a failure, because it's not. yungsmokex and Dryspace
John The Grudge
I loved all three games but I think Asylum is the best, though I'm not sure how to articulate why I prefer it. AK looks brilliant and plays brilliant and I like the story but I think due to it's scale I never really felt a sense of place (how vague is that lol). I think Asylum's smaller scale and it's particular setting work in it's favour. Of course it's a trilogy and after Asylum the way to go was bigger. Rocksteady did a great job of making AK feel impressive and somewhat fresh considering how definitive AC felt in terms of scale and content. I think Asylum, City and Knight need to be taken as a whole rather than separate experiences. That way elements like the tank battles are more forgiveable because Knight had to offer something different from the previous instalment. They also let you play as robin, nightwing, and catwoman more. Sadly, I no longer have my 360, just my ps4. Remastered maybe? The series has been highly popular, and WB is known to be quite money hungry. And you're pretty much spot-on. Apart from the obvious smaller map and worse graphics, Arkham City IS the Batman game. You don't need the Batmobile to be the Batman, and you can quote me on that.

PhoGarrett
Photo mode is fantastic but I hate how there isn't a reset settings option in the UI. Really annoying cycling through the options just to go to turn off some stuff. darthYENIK

Tomern11
I've also managed to save some 'free of HUD' frames through the steam frame capture tool in advance, and added to them a comicbook - like filtering: ( contains spoilers of course, and they're many ) On other note - I want the Killer Croc most wanted mission as hell. Jammsbro
Knightmare mode is doing my head in. I'm stuck in a room with three waves of enemies and the camera is sh*t. It keeps spinning in so tight that I can't see what the hell is going on and when I try to flip out of the danger area Batman just seems to want to stay right where he's getting smashes. The enemies that charge you also seem to have the ability to grab you even when you manage to dodge right out of their way. And asides from that, it's really just oo f*cking hard. I really like a challenge and managed all the other Arkham games on knightmare but this is way too hard. It's like they tried to make the game as annoying as possible. Really don't know if I'm going to go back to it.
J-B
I really didn't feel much of a difference on Knightmare. The only one I felt was bullet damage. You really can't f*ck with guns on Knightmare
Jammsbro
I'm getting my ass handed to me. Three hits and I go down. And those f*cking electric guys really cause me problems. One of my biggest troubles is that the game doesn't aim at the person you want to go to. If I freeze the medic and then go on a streak to build up my combo I make sure to not aim anywhere near the frozen medic and still Batman flies over to him, even with viable targets in the area I aimed.
